What will the excuse be for this mess tonight???
Outrebounded 41-20 and not done yet. Probably giving up 30+ points in 3 quarters.
Psst...it ain't fixed.

Watching the C's get absolutely bulldozed by the Clippers isn't fun. They need to close out on shooters a bit better, need to play Baynes more and need to tell Horford to grow a pair. The Clippers are also playing an incredible level of basketball so there's that. Still, the lone bright spot for the night was once again Jaylen Brown. JB has been playing some unreal basketball lately. Please banish Morris to the bench and let's roll with the J-Js again.

IT taken out of rotation in Denver. Man if only Stevens did something similar with Morris until he at least picked up his atrocious defense.

Wow - half time, just peeked at the box - looks like Horford, Smart and Hayward are tonight's egg layers. Can they get it back together for the second half? Allowing a big field goal percent again.

12-0 run by Sacramento, and that clown Stevens doesn’t even think of calling a timeout.

They came all the way back and then some (but Irving's shooting percentage is abysmal so far)...Jaylen hot. They need to screw down on D in the 4th Q

They need to screw down on D in the 4th Q If there ever was a "post all-star break MVP" for every team, then Jaylen has definitely been it for us. He's playing some amazing basketball right now. Taller Avery Bradley. I've been there day one.

Jaylen with a +19 he put the team on his back. Another one to keep building on...gotta win these home games and they did.

Man what a sh*t time for Kyrie to miss a FT, this game would be over right now instead we have to endure the King struggling for a few more seconds.

Has anyone checked in on wcp? He should stay away from sharp objects during this one.

Tatum, Brown, Baynes, Rozier pretty ineffective from view of box score.

Tatum, Brown, Baynes, Rozier pretty ineffective from view of box score. I watched some of the second half, I thought they did okay in the 3rd but the 4th was obviously atrocious. The defense regressed really badly, there are A LOT of breakdowns and missed assignments. Brad is having a really tough season as the team just isn't fundamentally sound. On the other hand, Danny has done absolutely nothing to address the big man need. It's a double whammy. They did look pretty in control in the 3rd so I'll take that positive note. We definitely had worse losses this season.

Kinda sad - even WEEI doesn't have a single feature article about last night's loss. The erratic, frustrating play of this team, Kyrie's bizarre press moments, the infighting - it is clear that it is NOT at all a fun team to watch for the most part, and interest is waning. Just goes to show that a particular collection of great talent, lacking cohesion and chemistry, does not make a great team.
They will win more than they lose, but I can't see this team making a deep playoff run....and after the season, there will be significant changes.

Simply put, the Celtics have had the worst coach in basketball this season. Among them for sure. It's hard to beat Luke Walton for that award this season. Two really good young coaches at that too, hopefully they learn from it.

I'm done debating this team till the playoffs. I just don't see the point. They are up and down from game to game, we'll see.
What looks certain now is the Kings pick looks locked in at 14. So that trade and Danny's grand plan to get a higher pick kinda backfired. Went from pick 10 to pick 14. So it will be interesting to see if who we have a chance at, because that #10 pick gave us a chance at a few really good players.

I don't normally do this but I was just thinking.
Phoenix is in play for Rozier and already have a very young team. So would Rozier and our first 1st rd pick + b level asset for their #2/3? Of course if they get lucky and get #1 deals off, but. They don't need another 20 yr old wing and maybe they do it as they like Rozier.
Then the C's flip the #2/3 from PHX plus whatever gets the deal done for AD. If that is going to be Tatum you still do it but how much more? I know people love Tatum but AD is a top 5-10 in this league for the next 5 years and you can't say that about too many guys.
This is going to be an interesting summer. The asset building has been going on for a long time, AD will be considered one of the best players in any sport to have ever been traded in his prime. Makes me wonder why, with all the talent they have, they are a disappointment so far.
