So Kyrie and KD are taking less than max so Jordan can get 4/40 (originally thought to be taking a vet minimum) per Woj and Ramona.
I'm envisioning Jarrett Allen saying "We got Kyrie and KD!!!!! Wait, what?"

Philly is going to be a nightmare on both ends of the court with their size and switchability. You could not find a better complement to Embiid either.
This is a punch to the gut, but I also don’t know how much I would’ve liked seeing the Celtics give Al another four years (and I’m a huge Horford fan).
As for the Knicks, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the league step in at some point. What a clown show.

Dragic now staying in Miami with Olynyk and Derrick Jones heading to Dallas instead. This per Stein (and Shams)

Muscala to OKC per Woj. Posting only bc Woj also says that Noel has asked OKC for time to reconsider his commitment.

I'm assuming we won't be playing Time Lord 48 minutes a night, but who's left out there?

Himmelsbach reporting that the Walker/Rozier S&T is still on and Boston will get assets (again, Walker could sign into space but Charlotte needs this to get Rozier - hence the compensation in Boston's direction).

I have lost track where the Celtics stand in regards to Morris and the MLE. Will someone please clarify?

Didnt realize the question was about what bigs Tizzle would want. Must've misread. You did. Where I listed the best bigs I see out there. Which was the post you quoted. Which I then responded to again with my opinion on why I didn't list the player you mentioned. Apparently my expressing an opinion is some horrible afront to you. So, so sorry about that.

Wow, looks like Golden State will be completing a sign and trade for D'Angelo Russell. Insane offseason.

I have lost track where the Celtics stand in regards to Morris and the MLE. Will someone please clarify? I believe, as of now, Boston and Charlotte are doing a double S&T with Boston getting something small for helping Charlotte getting Rozuer. Right now, Boston is using space to take in Kemba. However, they may look to ask Philly or Brooklyn to expand their Horford or Kyrie signings into that deal. In that case, the move can be done with Boston staying over the cap. This gets then full MLE and keeps Morris' rights. Could depend on what Boston can do with the 9m; whether Morris wants to stay and how much Boston is willing to give up.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I absolutely love that the 76ers seems to build their team with zero regards to the players they currently have. They have Ben Simmons, they need to push the pace and instead they go big and slow. I just don't see it, it's a mismatch of talent. Sure it's great talent, but the fit is once again atrocious.
tizzle and umass, I think maybe we could have matched that deal, but we have to be honest about the NBA reality. It's likely giving that large of a paycheck to Horford would have cost us elsewhere and I don't want to move on from like Brown to pay a 36 old small-things-that-don't-show-in-the-boxscore center. Al will be missed, I'm just not mad over it.

Boy we better get Vonleh now or I just don't see anyone else that could give us solid minutes. I eventually learned better than to question Danny, but I hope he has a plan for the front court. They need 2 bodies there and one needs to be good.

They need 2 bodies there and one needs to be good. Vonleh would be a great get. If they can get the full MLE that may put them into the game for Cousins. Add: based on the fact they need the Nets or Sixers to agree to a sign and trade and there’s no reason for them to do so, I’m going to say the Celtics will not keep Morris rights and they they will not have the full MLE.

I hope this Butler to Miami deal falls apart and the Sixers don’t end up with Richardson.

To an earlier discussion, saw a tweet from Marks that said Rozier/Kyrie would have created a 32.7 TPE that they couldve absorbed Walker into while keeping FA rights and triggering the full MLE.
If it comes up again.

Every time I read that Horford is already 33, I feel better. Also, the only way they could keep him was to convince a division rival in the Nets to sign and trade Kyrie, who have no incentive to do that. What would you have to pay them? Especially, after the trade you fleeced them? It would be a minimum of that Memphis pick and that’s being conservative but let’s just use that for argument sake.
Al Horford games & mins played in Boston:
2016: 68 and 32.2 2017: 72 and 31.6 2018: 68 and 29.0
Giving 33 year old Al with bad knees 4 years and 25m plus trading the Memphis pick is probably a bad move.
I know you NEED a center but we’ve all seen how bad Al gets when he’s hobbled with the knees. After he rests them and recharges he’s great and can still play great in stretches but that’s likely to get worse not better. Al could literally be a shell of himself for this deal. I wouldn’t bet on it but I wouldn’t bet against it either. The draft capital you’d have to give up is just way too much.

I can’t wait to see what Charlotte gives the Celtics for the Rozier sign and trade. My guess is it’s a second round pick when all is said and done, but Charlotte is so dumb, if Danny gets a first from them it’d be classic. To be realistic, I’m rooting for a pick swap that is top 3 protected and rolls over until it converts.
