Honestly, this is the approach to reality that has the world in such a mess. Literally all evidence indicates he has an inflammation, You mean the down peak and average velocity all season, plus PRP injection is just a sign of just inflammation? I honestly think this board will refute anything that's viewed as negative. Believe Sale in his word that it's just inflammation. I'm not going to do it. We can leave it at that and move on. Ummm... yes, those could be evidence of just inflammation. I pitched through college, had TJ, and know what it feels like to have a variety of arm injuries. If you think a sore elbow — without significant structural damage — doesn’t impair your pitching, well.... maybe you should try it?

...Says the guy with 50 argumentative and completely made up posts since noon today Says you dude. Like don't comment if you have a problem with my posts. Remember the time I made crap up on the Steve Pearce thread and argued with 20 people to be proven right later? In almost every thread on this board you dig your heels in with some random theory you've come up with, and even when proven you are wrong about something, you think posting about it even more is the way to convince everyone that reality is wrong and you're right. That means that every 5 posts on this board is either from you or about something you've posted. So if I don't get to post based on your activity in a thread I would literally have no chance to ever post, and neither would anyone else. I mean, the saddest part of this conversation (in more ways than one) is that you still might be right about Chris Sale having to have surgery at some point. I don't think that would surprise anyone, and I also don't think anyone is disputing that fact. The problem is that, instead of acting like a normal human being that makes their opinion known and moves on, you instead lie or make up stuff to make the conversation about you, and then spend the rest of the thread making posts like the one I quoted above. I mean, I've tried blocking you once before, but then I didn't understand a damn thing that was being posted, because everything was either blocked or commenting on the thing that was blocked.

If you think a sore elbow — without significant structural damage — doesn’t impair your pitching, well.... maybe you should try it? Agree to disagree based on the hard evidence. You are basing it on the “hard evidence”? Like what the doctor and patient said? Here is a question: if you think they are lying about the ligament, then why believe that he had an injection? What evidence is there that that happened except their words? Or that he is hurt at all? So you accept the sources only up to the point they confirm your narrative, and you reject the parts that conflict with you as lies. Then you present your side as “fact-based.” But omission is no less dishonest that flat lies. Again, this kind of selective, subjective reading of reality, a grade-school critical analysis, is how we can have people in power who p—s on our legs and tell us we’re “winning.”

I'm sorry you don't the way I post. Neither is the fact am I digging in everytime or not walking away. Like I have made my points before and walked away plenty on here. I've even left this board plenty of times. What about the times I'm right? Don't want to point that out? My posts are calculated and well thought out. I could go over everything that I wanted the Sox to do this year and everything I wanted to see get done, and I guarentee you that I had a good grade on what I wanted to get done. The fact that you blocked me and then crapped on the way blocking system works has nothing to do with me, either. That's on the board. Nice to see you counting all my posts though. I'm sure you were one of the ones that complained about that when I left a year ago.

I was gone for months and didn't want the f-ing attention. That's why I left. That was a very constructive post about your exact feelings on me, however. Many on here disagree with you that I'm a crap poster. The fact that you call a passionate fan a troll, says more about you than me, dude.

It might. But in the last 24 hours you have:
1. Claimed you knew better than the actual doctor of the Boston Red Sox (not to mention James Andrews) 2. Repeatedly lied about things you knew nothing about to prove the point you were making 3. Called the actual and literal person that you were creating the conspiracy theory about a liar 4. Told someone who has had TJ surgery in real life that they didn't know what they were talking about. 5. Even after the only evidence in the thread went against you, started saying you were right based on the "hard evidence."
You're the definition of a troll.

I mean, it's not unfathomable to think a player/organization might be not being completely honest about injuries. Remember when Gisele made a random comment about Brady having a concussion and then the immediate spin afterwards?
I'm not saying Sale or the team is lying, but it's not unheard of in professional sports.
With that said, we have no information to suggest otherwise.

I would love to ask the board though, what is worse, calling people obligatory names and insulting people or a person who has a different opinion, who just posts too much?
One seems harmless. The other isn't.

I honestly don't get this bickering and blocking people. Don't agree and move on. I actually enjoy Pedro's posts. This season is dead. I appreciate the staunch stances even if I disagree and honestly, I'm enjoying the debating. Not that I'm actually rooting for injury (I'm not), but when everyone poo poos on a guy and then it becomes comical when they're right and the pretzel twisting that goes on to say why they were still wrong and the Red Sox did everything right and can never be questioned. I think Pedro is wrong here. I think Sale is fine. I want him to be fine. I'm just not going to be so defiant on this until he's reevaluated.

Has nothing to do with the list of 5 things that I pointed out above that you are constantly guilty of in one way or another.

Has nothing to do with the list of 5 things that I pointed out above that you are constantly guilty of in one way or another. I don't have a horse in this race other than hoping Sale is ok, because if he's not the 2020 season could be in jeopardy as they need Sale pitching like the ace he's been. I'm glad to hear that they haven't found anything that screams out "He needs TJS NOW!!". That's good news. However, let's be honest here, would anybody really be shocked if something like that did happen with Sale sooner than later? I mean, let's review here. He wore out in the second half of 2017, spent most of the second half of 2018 on the DL and wasn't the same when he came back, and then missed the last six weeks or so of the 2019 season. That does not give me a ton of confidence that we're going to see a healthy Chris Sale throwing 180 - 200 innings in 2020. For now, in the absence of any evidence that Sale is destined for TJS sooner than later, I'll believe that he has dodged a bullet. I'll remember Pedro Martinez and what he went through. Light in the weight department like Sale, Pedro overthrew in the 1999 All Star Game and said he was never free and easy after that game. He got hurt in the ALDS and miraculously pitched through pain the rest of the season and pitched incredibly the next season before his issues came to a head. He was able to build up his muscles so that he didn't have to do TJS and he managed to avoid it while with the Red Sox. Sale overthrew during June and July 2018 trying to live at 99 MPH as he experienced incredible results, but hastened his injury issues. Maybe like Pedro, he finds an alternative way to avoid TJS, with those injections helping him avoid them. So like I said I won't definitively say "Yeah, give him five minutes - he's going to need surgery. I'll think he doesn't, but I'd be lying if I didn't think there are times when we don't get the true medical reports or that I shouldn't be concerned about his issues growing worse. The only thing I can truly conclude is that the Sox have the difficult task of having to hedge their bets, for Sale, and for Eovaldi with his health issues, while replacing Porcello in the rotation - a tall order. The only way I see that getting tackled is if Mookie gets dealt in a trade to bring back starting pitching. Hope it doesn't come to that.
