My only comment for the season (barring defending self): top to bottom the Patriots are the least-likable franchise in American pro sports. Owner? Scumbag. Coach? Vile. QB? Jerk. Sign another loathsome player? Don’t mind if we do!

McDaniels with as bad of a game plan as you’ll see.

Sign another loathsome player? Don’t mind if we do! They’re in that conversation, but I think you can make this claim about 50% of NFL organizations.

I know there’s a bunch of mistiming right now. But the fact that Brown has been covered one on one every snap is a terrifying scenario for the rest of the league

Last two drives for the Dolphins have given the Pats 14 points. Haha.
The OL depth is a concern with Wynn out now, hope it's not a re-injury of his achilles.
The other "concern" is being able to get enough balls to enough players who always want the ball.
76-3 is a pretty good point differential for the first 2 games.

My god, Tom Brady to Antonio Brown is going to be the butter of bread this season. That second touchdown was as good as it gets. Miami didn't score one point here regardless.

LOL, Eagles have lost their top 3 receivers, a tight end and their QB in the first half. FML

Pats are beating teams by an average score of 38 to 1.5 Tough life we live Mahomes passed for 443 yards and 4 TDs. This season could be all about one game, I've been following the NFL for quite some time and I don't remember seeing 2 teams so clearly above everyone else.

Yeah, rewatched the highlights yet again. What a slaughter. I can't even imagine the point spread with the Patriots are at home against the Dolphins later if everyone stays healthy.

McDaniels with as bad of a game plan as you’ll see. This is what I’ve accepted about McDaniels. He runs lower percentage things on purpose, especially earlier in games and earlier in seasons. They do it for several reasons (not in any particular order): 1. They want their team to learn to straight up execute (see handoff to Michel on 3 and 5). 2. They want to set up other plays by making it realistic they will do these other things. 3. Piggybacking on the above, they like to skew the stats. They know everyone looks at trends so they call plays in less important spots that will skew the trends of what they really like to do. 4. Also, piggybacking. They like to put a lot of things on film that make it harder for teams to prepare for situational football AND that they can get on their team about (see number 1). None of this means they don’t expect to convert those plays. They do and that’s what makes them so special. However, it annoy the F out of me as a fan in the moment. Afterwards, I know there’s usually a purpose behind it and they are a lot smarter than me with this stuff.

The goal is to win games, not win by 80 points.

I'm really concerned about our OL. Lost our center for the season, now both tackles are hurt. If they can't protect Brady, things could change in a hurry. If he gets hurt for lack of blocking, oh no. Think of the QB's who got hurt yesterday and what that does to their teams.
I don't know what happened to Ben yesterday, but I've heard that non-contact injuries are the worst. Think Edelman a couple of years ago when he blew out his knee on a cut.
Also, Gronk said he had 20 concussions and 5 black outs in his career. That's why he's not coming back. He will continue to party.

Sign another loathsome player? Don’t mind if we do! You have me curious now. What is leading you to those descriptions for each? Brown is loathsome to be sure (and you won't catch me posting 1 single positive comment about him on this board). But the other desrciptions? I'd need more understanding (if you would indulge) before commenting.

Ben is out for the year per Tomlin. He might just retire while he's at it too. Heard Brees might be out for the year also.

Stuns me that there is talk about player suspensions when guy like him can still own a team. Coach: not an honorable guy. Balls, videoing. Dumps Jets commitment. Signs Aaron Hernandez even when the people closest to him say not to. Signs Brown, shows character still doesn’t count. QB: combo Schilling and Gwenyth Paltrow. Traffics bs diet tips to masses who don’t have his private chef. Trump pal. Would be as hated as Schilling if he didn’t have Hollywood style PR.

manfred, what NFL team do you like so I can come up with another just as stupid list? Not a big fan in general. For many of these reasons. But what is stupid? Seriously? Am willing to revise.

Not a big fan, but a fan? Why won't you tell us? Ok... not a fan. Don’t have a team. Root for scattering of individuals and keep abreast as a sports fan overall.

There's not a single male sports fan I know that doesn't have a favorite NFL team. I'll guess Jets, Giants, Cowboys or Raiders.
