I'd trade Gilmore if you get a big offer. You already have Williams on the team to step in. I'm paying Jackson big money and he's easily good enough to be a #1 corner. I'd also eat money if it meant a bigger return and that could be huge given next year.

Harry was out of practice with that concussion... i doubt he plays Sunday. I’m half surprised he wasn’t put on IR.

Edelman and Harry both out Sunday. Fortunately, it’s going to be super windy so looks like both teams just need to run.

Activate all 3 TEs? Short routes and, as RJP says, RUN the ball.

Loading up on draft picks sounds like a great idea, except we suck on picking good players . That catches up to you at some point .

www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nwe/draft.htmThe Patriots are one of the better drafting teams in the NFL. If you don't believe that, then you expect way too much. As in you're not looking at the bust rate which is crazy high and all the impactful players he finds in all rounds including undrafted guys. The one area the Patriots do suck at is drafting WRs and to make matters worse Bill stays away from drafting them. Which just makes matters worse. Look at the most recent draft, he picked a guard who looks like he could be elite and an OT that could be a long-term starter in the 6th round. Seriously that's like first and second round value in the 6th round. You have what our starting slot CB, starting CB and starting center who were undrafted guys. That's as good as it gets. He's drafted two franchise QBs not in the first round in 20 years. Some teams draft five top 5 picks before they can find a QB that's just okay over 20 years.

Gilmore didn’t practice today and had an MRI on his knee yesterday... i doubt he plays on Sunday and so much for getting a good return on a trade.

This is how you get a return at the top of the draft

Stanley was the 6th pick and Humphrey was the 16th.

One thing that concerns me about Evans is his catch percentage is very low. He puts up numbers but it’s very inefficient and now Brady doesn’t like him... something seems off... that being said his contract isn’t bad. Maybe the catch % is meaningless... I don’t know

He's a deep threat and those guys will always be lower. He's a horrible fit for a QB like Brady, yet perfect for most other QBs. He's not a great route runner, he's a let's try a few bombs a game type guy. Throw it up and let me make a play, not I'm open. His whole game would drive Brady nuts because what they do best doesn't match. Slowly they keep moving more and more away from the vertical passing game to more of what the Patriots did. Brady's looking better, yet it's less and less Evans. Now they get Brown.
That makes a lot of sense and really sets you up for this year, while also the next few years.

You gotta admit, this would be a great year to collapse and have a top 6 pick... grab a QB then a receiver... I hate NFL teams losing as a rule of thumb. Winning culture is so important in football, but in the year of COVID and opt outs it’s very easy to explain away. No Hightower or Chung... very limited in person meetings - no off field team Building, even mite limited practice time - it cuts out the Patriots advantages... etc etc Trade Gilly, Get Jackson the reps at CB1. Play Jennings, Uche, Duggar, JoJuan and Cowart bigger snap counts. Offensively, Onwenu, Harris and Herron are already going to play a lot but I’d play the rookie TEs full time and move Izzo to 3rd option. Get a guy like Zuber more run as he seems athletic vs a guy like Meyers. Then you enter the off-season with a ton of cap room, high picks, key returning guys (especially Hightower), and a lot more experience from second year guys than normal. There’s a legit path that isn’t too unrealistic that makes them a SB team as early as next year. They have a lot of talent in place but the talent they are missing is really hurting them. Now they aren’t losing out - there’s next to no chance at that. If history is any indicator, they’ll come out and blow out the Bills today.

They got to find the right QB. That's the path back to winning. No matter where they find him. That QB isn't on this roster right now. Cam might be good enough to not get a top 10 pick also.

In Buffalo today rain with wind 25-35 mph and occasional gusts up to 45 mph. Advantage Pats with their running game.
