Anyone else thinking what last year's team does if they actually played Harris?

Anyone else thinking what last year's team does if they actually played Harris? I prefer to just believe he was really banged up and that they didn’t play him is why he’s not out of the league.

There was a minor in season roster move that just started playing which could be transforming the entire defense in front of our eyes. Carl Davis was added a month ago but just cleared to play 2 games ago... limited reps but went up last week. He’s a guy who can play the true nose and was a key in slowing the Baltimore running attack. If they get that type of play from him the rest of the year, and the team suddenly becomes solid to good on first down then it allows them to play to their strengths with passing downs.
The other guy who could also transform things is Uche on said passing downs. Combined with Wino actually playing things could start to look a lot different in the front 7.

It's like surprise the Patriots actually get practice time and things are starting to fit together. Young guys are starting to get better, no name depth pieces are starting to make impacts. Now if our rookie TEs could start to make an impact and Edelman comes back watch out NFL.

Not disputing any of that but having a true nose tackle that didn’t exist even a month ago is a big change... assuming he plays as well as he did against Baltimore.

I don't disagree that he helps. I spent all off-season saying we needed more depth at NT. Yet I do think Dugger and Hall's 22 tackles were a bigger part of slowing down the Ravens. It gave you speed at LB. Guys that can play off the line and have enough speed to come up and make plays, unlike Bentley. We know Dugger is a player, yet Hall surprised me.
Yet this is what Bill does. He builds depth and fixes problems during the season unlike a lot of teams.
It does suck that Allen will miss the year and kinda highlights how not much went right the first half of the year.

Rivers and Froholdt released and Michel activated from IR.

The line holding blockers let’s the off ball guys make tackles. Those guys can’t make tackles if they have offensive linemen in their grill. The speed obviously helps.

Rivers and Froholdt released and Michel activated from IR. Availability and being around for development is important. I really thought Rivers would be a hit.

I haven't seen OL on the second level as an issue. It's Bentley is slow as crap. Play him close to line, teams pass in the middle and he gets destroyed. Play him off the line and teams get five yard runs because he's not fast enough to get to the line. A big body helps, yet I haven't seen anything that screams he's a beast. I did see Dugger and Hall all game long stop RBs after 3-5 yards, not 5-10 like we've seen for two years now. Their speed was something I haven't seen at LBer on the Patriots in a long time. They attacked and there was no getting killed over middle with easy passes either. Bentley needs to be a goal line or short yardage guy only. Bill needs to move away from big LBers to smaller quicker guys.

It sucks, yet I don't have an issue taking guys at positions of need who are ranked in that area even if they fail. Now guys like Keene or our undrafted kicker we took in the 5th. If they fail, BB deserves to get blasted big time.
A really good drafting GM still only nails like a third of his picks. Patriots always have more picks, so you'll get more failures.

I hope Harris is around for the next 7 years. He's arguably the best back I've seen since Corey Dillon in 2004 and that was for only one year.

Nice to see Mack playing. That's another big guy with Davis. That's a huge difference from start of the year.

I said before that Houston isn’t as bad as their record as their schedule has been pretty brutal, but if they lose this week after winning last week, I’ll be so mad... like really mad

Looks like Burkehead will probably done for the year, maybe his last play as a Patriot. Sad.
Need better QB play. I'll take Jimmy G no problem next year. Cam might be a backup at best at this point. I'd take him back if he accepted that role next year.

Lol and Cam throws a dime right as I say that for a touchdown. Go figure.

Looks like Joe Burrow just had his knee shredded... hopefully, he can return by start of next year

You know that wasn't going to end well. Cam is the absolute anti-clutch.

Embarrassing performance against an awful football team.
There are at least some good pieces to work with next year. But that’s a wrap on this season.
