Seems like he's a good/somewhat famous podcaster, not some random guy. Jared Carrabis breaks Red Sox news all the time.

Seems like he's a good/somewhat famous podcaster, not some random guy. Jared Carrabis breaks Red Sox news all the time. I’m not saying Hightower isn’t retiring (i expect Cannon to but that’s nothing new), but this guy has 1300 followers on Twitter Carrabis has 314,000. Carrabis works for one of the biggest sports media companies, this guy doesn’t work anywhere as far as I can tell. Carrabis is a guest on local radio shows, this guy is a caller. He may have inside info, but more than likely he’s guessing. He could be right but it’s a guess. Point is, this isn’t a credible report, if it were you’d have seen other local media pick up on it. Add: if someone wants to say they think it’s likely Hightower retires, I may not agree but i do think it’s possible.

I honestly thought one or both Mccourtys would retire instead of coming back this year. Glad they are back and playing well but something else to keep an eye on.

Some people think that Jason was resigned to Keep DMac playing. JMac is a free agent and hasn’t played nearly as well as in previous years and last week was finally supplanted by JC as the number 2... will be interesting for sure. Dmac has a weird contract that voids after next year and creates a good size dead cap charge.

I'll take the 16 million in cap space thank you very much.

He’s a weird one - turnover prone in college - same in pros but never had a chance in the NFL... little chance he’s traded here tho... plus, can you trust a red headed QB? We'll see if there's even a trade market for him at 10 million with the cap going down. I would trust him and I'm just trying to look at logical targets. Bill isn't just going to draft a QB in the first because we need one. He's not that guy and the chances he likes a guy that available are slim. So it's guys like Darnold or guys later in the draft.

Bills never been in a spot where he needs a first round QB and been high enough to get one of the more highly rated ones so we will see if he is this year. But no he’s not going to force it for a guy he doesn’t like just because

I'd rate my Patriot QBs targets off the wonderlic test more than anything frankly. Every QB he's drafted has been well above average.
Yet I still think Stidham might be that guy.

Why wouldn't you? Smart guy that picked up offense quickly and might have the most arm talent of any QB Bills drafted. The question is can that translate to success in the NFL? That's TBD in my book.
I still remember him from his freshman days at Baylor replacing the guy that got injured.
I think the one thing we need to be ready for is that our next QB won't be Brady. It's likely ugly before it gets good. That's how most QBs are, like remember Payton Manning throwing a ton of picks his rookie year?

You don’t lose 2 players by activating 1 so they didn’t lose both. It’s possible they lost one because of it tho.

Losing Froholdt is meh to me
I liked Rivers whenever he was on the field though

Would be VERY Jets to give us our QB for the next decade Can’t see them risking doing that lol I like Darnold and think he still has a chance to develop if he gets away from that cesspool

By the way, if the Redskins win that putrid division that would be ideal for the Patriots. They are the only NFC East team that clearly needs a QB. I know we’d all suggest the Giants do, but they just drafted Jones and haven’t buried him like Washington buried Haskins. As it stands, the only teams in front of the Patriots that will 100% take a QB are NYJ and Jacksonville. And yes, we know it’s not a guarantee, even if the Patriots ended up with a top 10 pick (which they probably won’t anyways) that they’d draft one, but it’s better to have more options than less.

Patriots are tied 13-16 for a pick right now.
I wouldn't count out the Cowboys or Eagles taking a QB. Heck the Falcons, Carolina or Lions.
You also have to hate the Bengals being that high as they could shop the pick.
I only see 4 teams in front of us where it's highly unlikely Bengals, Chargers, Texans and likely the Giants that they take a QB.

I wouldn’t count out a lot of teams... well I’d probably count out Dallas as JJ has said Dak is their guy so that’d surprise me a bit. There’s a lot of teams you can see go either way. The only 2 that are 100% or close tho are the Jets and Jags. Others likely would be but the current QB contracts really make it tough to move on like Matt Ryan or Cousins Small point and it doesn’t change the calculus but Miami owns the Houston pick.

If they don’t get any of the big names in the first I want them to look at Desmond Ridder from Cincy
Honestly he’d probably be my 5th preference. Most people will put at least Jones and Trask ahead of him but I think the guy has everything it takes
1) Lawrence 2) Fields 3) Lance 4) Wilson 5) Ridder

Isaiah Wynn to IR... so that’s 3 years and 3 IR stints... not good, not good at all. Is it time to look for a new Left tackle?

Carl Davis and not surprisingly Burkhead also.
So to answer the question before, did we lose two guys? Yes we did, the real question is does it matter?
IR this year is different, as in three weeks. How bad is his knee? It's not good, yet you also don't just give up on young good LTs. That's a hard one because you don't pay big money to guys that get injured a lot either.

They still only lost one guy. If they didn’t activate Sony then they still had to waive either Rivers or Frodholt before last weeks game.. Sony is one roster spot - it’s literally impossible for one player to cost you 2.

They didn't have to add Moncrief to the 53, they could have just used him as a call up player and did it next week. Hall I think they had too, because you can only do that twice if I remember right. This was Donte's first game no?
