They didn't have to add Moncrief to the 53, they could have just used him as a call up player and did it next week. Hall I think they had too, because you can only do that twice if I remember right. This was Donte's first game no? I know they didn’t need to add Sony but that’s one roster spot. They didn't need to add Moncrief either, that's the point. It's not really Bill lost two guys when he didn't have to, he just didn't seem to value either guy or maybe thought that was the best way to sneak them on the practice squad. I don't know, yet he added two guys when he didn't have too.

I think it’s pretty clear they placed zero value on Froholdt. They tried pretty much every combo to keep him off the field when injuries piled up
I was surprised about Rivers as he speaks highly of him. Not that he hasn’t done that with players that were immediately gone before, but it seemed like he genuinely appreciated his work ethic and pass rush

How about Patricia and Quinn getting the axe

Bill B should be making a move for Patricia if he is so inclined to accept the defensive coordinator job again. Maybe won't happen, but he is an upgrade in that position for sure.

Isaiah Wynn to IR... so that’s 3 years and 3 IR stints... not good, not good at all. Is it time to look for a new Left tackle? Yeah I think there's a high chance that is pretty much the position that the Patriots will be using their first round pick this upcoming draft again (again). If Wynn makes it back, he probably gets sent to the guard position.

I know we were spoiled for 20 years, but it’s literally unbelievable how bad Cam’s pocket presence is.

Lol Jake Bailey the Punter might be the best player on the team especially for what he does. He is one of the best punters I've ever seen.

Cam Newton is scared to throw to an open receiver unless he’s wide open... guys have a yard or 2 of separation with defenders on their backs... great leverage... that’s an open receiver in the NFL.

How can you have a blindside block from directly in front of the player?
Edit - so I guess it's one of those correct application of a bad rule???

I still don’t know if it was a correct application - he wasn’t moving back or parallel to the line. Terrible terrible call, if that is a penalty then football is screwed. And can anyone give me a good reason why Cam Newton is still playing at all? He is just plain bad and the Pats should be finding out what they have in Stidham. Newton playing is just plain stupid, absolutely no good reason for it.

Is Harry useless or what? He seems to be a detriment on the field.
Fun game. Glad that stupid penalty didn't cause us to lose.
Defense looked better today. Nice stop at the 2 inch line at the half.
Not a great team, but they really fought hard today. Deserved it for their effort.
Felt good for BB. He's had a tough season.

Or what. Had a bad game today and he's not performing like a #1 but that's not being a detriment on the field.

What’s more impressive:
Bill the coach at 5-6 with a terrible roster
Or
Tom at 7-5 with a stacked roster

Bad in that he has been worth much less than the 1st rd pick that was used to get him. But that's transactional worth.
On the field, he hasn't shown up in the stats very much but early film breakdown shows him open multiple times bit not targeted.
Meanwhile, film has shown extended stretches of dominance in the run game. Going up against and wiping out defenders.
I dont think that makes him a detriment just not a good use of a 1st rd pick.

I can't think of a single outstanding play he's made in the 2 years he's been here. They only time his name is called is when he makes a penalty. He was supposed to be an amazing player. The wide receiver we craved to help out Brady. Didn't happen. If he's such a good blocker, why not use him as a tight end. We could use one. Then get a real receiver next year.

Detrimental may mean different things to people but I feel like he shouldn’t be more than a situational player on a good team.

There is a difference between not being outstanding and being a detriment.

When you don't make any catches and your name is only called when you make a penalty, I would call that a detriment. BB is not known for making great early draft picks. I think he has more undrafted picks starting than 1st round picks.
