How would you guys feel about Nick Foles in NE next year? I wouldn't be surprised by that one bit. You can't look at Newton and say it's everyone else. Unless I’m reading it wrong. Foles counts 6.6m against the cap for Chicago but leaves a 14m dead cap charge it cut or traded. It’d make no sense for them to move on.

I don’t think this is true. Fans and media have been saying this for over a month now. I think there’s multiple plausible explanations - could be a combination of them too (and maybe more that I have not thought about): The number is just for purposes of breaking things up - not a ranking 1. Bill is leaving open the possibility of bringing Cam back next year. 2. They don’t have much, if any faith in Stidham 3. Loyalty and setting an example. Maybe Cam has been such a good soldier and teammate that Bill wants to reward that. Maybe Cam is such a leader in the locker room that the team wants him as the starter and Bill thinks it’s best for the franchise that this work ethic and leadership and accountability is rewarded. It’s #2, McDaniels had one of the most damning quotes I’ve seen about Stidham- they’ve seen “plenty” of him over the last two years to know what they have

I would say I don’t really think that’s an upgrade unless we catch lighting in a bottle Derek Carr would be my target this offseason if we are going after guys that are in the league. If the raiders decide not to bail on that contract then Mariota works for me while we develop a guy

I don't see how that's possible as the Jags signed him and took almost a 19 million cap hit when they traded him. Dead money doesn't transfer with trades, I think your just looking at the original deal.

Yet if you read the whole thing I don't see how you take it that way. He didn't say he was good or bad and said it was up to Bill. Heck it was a very Bill like answer were he really told you nothing. That plenty has seen him move from #3 to #2 QB and Bill insert him in a game because he felt he gave them the best chance to win. This feels much more like #3. It's like with Harris last year, Bill made up his mind early he wasn't playing and that was that.

I wouldn’t want Foles tho, the guy I would love but I see no chance he’s available is Stafford. I only mention him because his name has been thrown around by some circles. Him and Matt Ryan have big dead money associated with them.

Him and Matt Ryan have big dead money associated with them. Stafford has a cap hit about 35 million, dead money 25 million. So that's not bad, Ryan is 40 with 50 million in dead money so no way on him, he's like Wentz, you can't do anything for one more year. Yet I'd rather Foles than Newton, I actually think Foles is a really good fit. His talents fit our system and he's shown up in big games.

Haskins released... that guy has to be some kind of dumb (not intellectually speaking) to get released before the end of his second year.

The games are literally meaningless and they’re like “yeah....we’ve seen enough....pass” and instead are rolling with a guy who isn’t the future and also can’t make a throw

Wow, I think Ryan Leaf made it longer. Teams are smarter now than they were back then and social media also plays a role. When guys show themselves to be idiotic and you didn’t draft them it makes it easier to cut them.

I would like to see a tight end do anything
Nice TD run by Cam. Good half by Sony. Everything else sucked

I’m not sure he’s going to be a patriot next year but Sony might make a nice tandem with Harris next year.
They obviously need to do something about QB and keep adding pieces to the defense but they’re at least set at RB

I can't believe that, for a brief moment, I was concerned about a missed extra point.

Here’s the Patriots road to the number 10 pick: 1. Lose to the Jets 2. Chargers beat Chiefs (Mahomes likely not playing - but dropping to 11 behind the Chargers isn’t a big deal in the quest for a QB) 3. Denver beats Vegas (in Denver) 4. Washington beats Philly 5. Dallas beats the Giants 6. Minnesota beats Detroit If the Pats win, they they end up picking 14 or 15 depending on the other games. So we aren’t talking end of the world swings here but 3-5 draft slots do matter. playoffpredictors.com/Football/NFL?L=EwRmvNIstEH3KAzLKtnSTmlOLyZKFHEYKVnob7HKFVnWJy57ZYNwX12Ol0MWm27CaDEgwAMsuUA

By the way, JC Jackson was exposed last night and honestly he is every time he has to play the role as a number 1 corner. He is NOT a number 1 shutdown corner. He’s a great number 2 and a guy you want in that role. There’s a difference though. Maybe he gets there but he’s not there now and hopefully the league saw that so we don’t need to pay him a ridiculous amount of money to keep him.

Jets are starting to play better and we are playing worse. Jets may even be favored. I haven't checked yet but I wouldn't be surprised. From Super Bowl Champion 2 years ago to possibly the worst team in the league. Boston Sports Journal explains how the Bills got so good and we got so bad...Bill's inability to draft good players and the Bills great drafts. GMS matter, too.
Looking forward to the Bucs playing Green Bay in the playoffs. Brady against Rogers for a Super Bowl berth.

He says he knows who Stidham is, yet it's up to Bill.
