I honestly think Jaylen is everything Kyrie wishes he was off the court

Can they keep it together for the 4th quarter? This would be quite the huge win. Tatum putting the team on his back.

Nice win, this is why you want to be in the playoffs!
What was up with Walker? He's flying around the court, like almost too much speed tonight. Yet they said he almost didn't play? Must be whatever they gave Robert Williams.

Dude had nothing shooting, but he hustled his ass off. He did much more in one night than Kyrie ever did here.

Langford was under the radar an excellent defender tonight, game shifted when he entered

That was a HELL of a win. Would have been easy to roll over but this team gave it everything.

Kyrie flailing in a playoff game because his head was out of it? Who could have predicted?
I know Kyrie has a ring and Harden has won nothing but I wonder if he's their third wheel now and KD/Harden have him pushed out. Kyrie for Westbrook, who says no? Would KD and Harden be in favor or are they done with Westbrook? On second thought I forgot about all the expensive point guards Harden has alienated (CP and Wall as well)

Tatum just continues to grow his game. What part of his game will he work on this offseason to develop for next year? Reading and dishing? Can you even develop that outside of playing?

As a white man from the Northeast, I have to take Kyrie’s comments about racism seriously.
However, there is nothing “subtle” about racism. Implicit? Yes.
What is subtle is Kyrie’s bullshit of not really saying anything. When Marcus Smart described how a woman called him a ni**er in front of her kid as he walked in front of her car outside of the garden, he was not being subtle. He was being real. He was not describing a city as racist. He was identifying racism with the precision of an oncological surgeon.
Kyrie Irving is immature at best, and clinically narcissistic at worst. He identifies personal slights with systemic racism (systemic racism happens to be the gravest sin of our time). This is not the first time he has done this. It is not ok. It is important that he name specific instances of racism, like the brave ways in which Marcus Smart and Adam Jones did, or just stop talking.

Kemba is not a good fit with anybody if the condition of his knee and subsequently his play doesn’t improve Whole offseason hinges on what they do with him imo Maybe you move him for more of a true PG like John Wall? Maybe you can snag Russ if the second half of the season didn’t convince Washington to keep him? We’d probably have to add for Russ, not sure we’d have to for Wall aside from matching salaries. Thompson and Walker for Wall might be something to look at. You would hope Wall looks better a full year removed from injury It’s obviously going to have to be a problem for a problem type deal I think you are dead on and despite many other comments by others focusing on other pieces I respectively disagree and think it's obviously IF there is a change the first place you look is Kemba. You need to be able to depend on Walker and as much as I like him and his play health has robbed him of consistently playing well. Maybe we find a taker and can get third piece behind the Jays. I think we have WAY better depth than most people sat problem is because of injuries and Covid missed games the team never had a chance to develop chemistry. You only need to be about 8 deep come play off time. We have 11 guys who depending on match-ups verse other team can be 11 deep. Even if you disagree on one, two or even 3 the original assessment is still 100% accurate. Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, (Kemba or replacement) Robert Williams III, (Smart or replacement), (Evan Fournier or replacement) Payton Pritchard, Aaron Nasmith, Romeo Langford, J. Parker, TT (get to much crap by Celts fans which I can only guess is due to his horrible first quarter to a third of a season, but he's been fine since then). The GM, Coach and top two players will all be here next season. Edit: We are screwed and have to pray Kemba gets healthy. I for some reason thought his contract expired next season. He has an option after next season making trading him much more difficult. Celtics have to hope to hope for health and continued growth by TL and the two previous lottery picks.

He grows his body so he can continue to learn to finish thru contact and to have more stamina for a long grind so he can take it to the hoop all year. His goal next year should be to average at least 8 free throws per game.

Hope Kyrie is ready for the hostility to get dialed up tenfold, Friday was NOTHING compared to what he’ll feel tonight. I could see him going for 50 or melting, no in-between.
Crowd is gonna try to single-handedly win this one

His goal next year should be to average at least 8 free throws per game. I think he needs to do what Mark Jackson said, learn to sell the contact he gets. He's already strong enough to take the hits and get the shots off, then he bitches. Last game you saw a bunch of him selling the contact more. I mean watching James Harden for three straight games is about as good as it gets. In regards to the first poster, for me Tatum consistently making other players better is his final step. It's also the hardest one that many players don't reach. It's the difference with a guy like Harden versus Irving. Harden is twice the player Irving is. Harden is the glue that makes that team work. He's the buffer so an Irving can't ruin a team like Irving did to us a few years ago. Most likely the best complete game Tatum has every had. It wasn't just the points, yet the D and getting seven assists and 15 FT attempts. That was Jason Tatum the superstar and I don't throw that word around much. Yet what Tatum did is what superstars do. It's exactly the reason you wanted to make the playoffs.

I Want to give Steven's credit for how he's using Thompson on D. I thought it was crazy to keep seeing him on Harden. Yet doing that allows more athletic guys to defend other players and it's actually working compared to Thompson just trying to protect the paint, not something he does that well.

First couple times I saw that I thought he was out of his mind. It’s working though They needed Langford’s athleticism on D too, that was big for them last game

Best news of the night - not having to listen to Grant Hill.
Second best news of the night - full house at TD.
