Only have so many roster spots right now, they needed to consolidate for quality. Barmore is going to step in and immediately replace Adam Butler, possibly even be an immediate upgrade. Needs work against the run but he’ll probably be a situational player to start. Love the pick

I can't lie, I didn't like Barmore as much as most but he's exactly what their defensive line needed. The Pats pass rush is going to be lethal when combined with their coverage (assuming Gilmore and Jackson stick around). They have so many guys that can rush the passer at a high level. Teams will be trying to run on early downs to avoid low percentage third and longs, that's for sure.

Also, I’m starting to think they like Gunners development and he may be on the Edelman path - special teams first couple years as he learns a new position to slot in years 3 and 4.... |

Perkins is the only edge defender in this class who earned run-defense and pass-rushing grades over 90.0 in 2020. He started as a true freshman in 2018 and took a massive step forward this past season. The problem is that we only saw him do it for 262 snaps
