Using Fangraphs' midyear update, IFA prospects with FV 55 or higher, by signing org (it's old, but as a snapshot in time, it's just as useful I think): ATL: 1 (Pache, 2015) CIN: 1 (Barrero, 2016) LAD: 1 (Ruiz, 2014) NYM: 2 (Alvarez, 2018; Mauricio, 2017) SEA: 2 (Rodriguez, 2017; Marte, 2018) SF: 1 (Luciano, 2018) TB: 1 (Brujan, 2014) And here's the 50s with just years: ARI: 4 ('14, '15, '17, '17) BOS: 1 (Gregory Santos, 2015) CIN: 1 ('18) CLE: 3 ('16, '17, '17) LAD: 3 ('15, '17, '18) MIA: 1 ('15) NYY: 9 ('14, '15, '15, '16, '16, '16, '18, '18, '19) PHI: 1 ('14) SD: 2 ('16, '19) SF: 1 ('18) STL: 1 ('16) TEX: 1 ('17) TOR: 2 ('16, '18) Fangraphs did their top prospect list for Giants today. Greg Santos is no longer a 50 grade prospect and is ranked a 45 prospect!I'm actually interested in if the Red Sox way of doing things has been paying off. After Fangraphs has completed all of their top prospect lists, I will go through and compile a list of 55, 50, and 45 grade prospects for each team. It will be interesting to see just how good they have been doing. I will only use prospects signed after Boston got out of the international sanctions. It was just an interesting update given our rather back and forth discussion we had in this section over the past few weeks.

I’m also interested to see if there will be an international draft coming out of this agreement whenever it’s signed. I think it's likely. But would be surprised if it takes effect even for next year's class, especially if GMs are in their owners ear about it.

Is he really from Antigua and Barbuda? That would be a first in the system!

Brief post-signing video of him thanking God and friends and family for helping with his "dream" of signing with the Red Sox.

Looks like there is a lot of potential for development.

In additional to RHP Ovis Portes, the Red Sox signed RHP Ruben De La Cruz and SS Jhaydel Flores in March.

Ben Badler released his review of the 2021-2022 signing class for the Red Sox. Some highlights: -Encarnacion: great potential with the bat, most likely to slide over to 3B where his strong arm will play -de Leon: plus defender potential, but "bottom of the order" projection on the bat and needs to get stronger -Garcia: offensive-minder catcher. Should be able to stick behind the plate but more of an average defensive profile -Santana: solid defensive SS, switch hitter with projection -Yuten: hit-first profile who could have a chance to hit for power if he puts on weight. More likely to fit at corner OF spot unless he improves speed -Alcantara: Badler's "sleeper watch". Sounds like he has some projection at the plate and will play all over the infield. Called a "hit collector" -Reguillo: another "sleeper watch". Sat in the mid-to-upper 80s as an amateur but now in the low-to-mid 90s. Was seen as having good feel for pitching with a good delivery so the increase in velo is promising. www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2021-22-international-reviews-boston-red-sox/

So they now have $499,700 left to spend. A pretty decent amount.

We know he's an OF? I was trying to figure that out earlier.

Got a little under $500k left.
And for those who might ask, IFA is under 25 so he'd still be subject to the pools.

Is there a resource for tracking how much the other four teams that went have left? See the following twitter thread: So the Marlins have double our pool number (which, given geographic proximity, is a legitimate worry), but the rest of the teams that showed up have basically nothing. Sounds good to me!
