7-1? I'm ready for Dommer to move to the mound. His stuff is electric.

This pitcher is just terrible. Walks Dom Smith who had looked utterly hopeless at the plate all night and then hangs one to Rafaela on 0-2 when he likely would have swung at anything. Still, I love to see it. This is a big game to win. Keep the positive momentum going.

Weissert doesn’t look good but what was Ref doing playing so shallow? 7 run game keep the ball in front of you.

Rookie of the year lead candidate at this point? Truly an almost zero shot. He's exciting, but his numbers imply: below average regular.

Rookie of the year lead candidate at this point? Interesting question. Looked up on a gambling site odds AL ROY. 1) Gil 2) Langford 3) Abreau 4) Cowser 5) Miller 6) Rafaela 7) Hamilton

Watching Duran field that lazy fly to center. Truly EVERYTHING has evolved in his game, except his arm. Is there precedent for a guy developing a cannon? He's defied all my expectations so far. Is this possible? I think no. Someone give me hope?

I really think this team is a #4 SP acquisition away from being in the playoffs, and they are VERY dangerous in the playoffs (my preseason pick was 74 wins). Really excited about this bunch.

Is this possible? I think no. Someone give me hope? Mookie's arm was marginal when he first moved to RF. Abreu's arm has taken a leap forward this year over last. That said Abreau's arm was very good last year and Duran's arm isn't weak. Cannon seems unlikely but that doesn't mean there's no room for improvement.

I feel like if we got there that our bullpen as currently constructed would probably be deeper than we’ve had in a while. Zach Kelly -> Bernie -> Slaten -> Martin -> Kenley. In 2021 it was basically Whitlock as the only reliable guy, Houck and Pivetta with some insane multi-inning performances out of the pen, and then… some shaky options. (coughHanselRoblescough) In 2018 you could trust Barnes, Braiser, Joe Kelly, but your closer was abominable… 2013 Koji was automatic, Tazawa was nails, and Breslow was trustworthy. Beyond that group was meh. Right now they’re 5 deep in terms of relievers I trust in a big game.
