Tonight’s a big one let’s keep it going. Looking ahead at KC’s schedule it gets a lot harder into August and early September than they had coming out the break.

It's crazy that the Sox currently have a losing record at home and yet are just a .5 game back from a WC spot. If at the beginning of the season you told me they'd be 27-28 at home on Aug 7th I'd have figured the season was over with.

Man this feels good. Verdugo was incredibly difficult to root for, whereas having Wilyer is so fun.

It would be good to get O'Neill's bat back in the line up tonight.

It would be good to get O'Neill's bat back in the line up tonight. I wonder if he's feeling well enough coming off the illness to sprint around in that big Kaufman outfield, or if they feel the need to DH O'Neill in place of a scorching hot Yoshida

Booser threw each of last 3 games and 4 of 5. Almost certainly the move for Martin, right? I’m sure he’ll be back but kind of a bummer. Guess they are only optioning good pitchers at this point Criswell

I wouldn’t mind seeing Bernie get 10’days off. Arm fatigue. He got the win on one pitch. Nearly gave up the lead on it.

Looking up and down the lineup, there really isn't any half-inning where I'm willing to write off their chances. Lot of guys putting together "professional" at-bats and finding ways to keep pitchers from cruising 1-2-3.

Neither is really a Loogy, but we need both to have that option.

The Red Sox are 20th in wRC+ w RISP, but 8th in overall wRC+. Hopefully some progression to the mean comes in these categories in the second half.

Gotta keep Criswell up for a long arm. Booser has really been the only reliable arm in the last month. Bernie has shown some life his past 2 appearances. It’s probably Winck who goes for now.

Dominic Smith since July 1: .286/.348/.548
He’s also leading baseball with 39 steals in that timeframe*
*okay not quite that many

A very difficult roster decision upcoming w/ Hamilton swinging a better bat and Sogard also having some very solid play the last few days. EDIT: a note though that either can be recalled in ~3 weeks when rosters expand.

It would be good to get O'Neill's bat back in the line up tonight. Yes and no. Ragans does have reverse splits. Would prefer not to start him and have him pinch hit later in the game if necessary.

Minnesota Twins ace Joe Ryan threw a pitch, signaled to the training staff and then left immediately this afternoon. Fortunately, the rest of the Twins’ best players have a great track record when it comes to staying healthy

Ryan is their best pitcher, that'd be a bad guy to lose down the stretch
