LOL. Ohtani is going off. Was just about to go off-topic and mention this. Pretty sure 50 years from now that guy will be being mentioned with Babe Ruth, but built like a linebacker not a barfly.

The offense is beyond sad. Hard to believe how this can happen.

I am 100% willing to bite the bullet and strikeout at an amazing clip for 600K a year. I'll even be an engaging/silly interview when I explain my third consecutive golden sombrero.
Gimme a call, Breslow.

Devers maxed out around 4.6 WAR around August 26th or so. At that point he was on pace for a 6 WAR season. Now he's on track to finish below 4 WAR for the second year in a row.

Bello's pitching well, but the offense unfortunately just isn't there anymore.

solid outing for Bello. I am hopeful that he'll be a solid #3 next year. Seems to be maturing as the season progresses.

I like TON bombs more than just about any old fool, but he strikes out at well over 30% of his at bats. The homers may be hard to replace, but the contact won't be that hard. I don't really want him back. You could give TO and Pivetta $44 million next year, or you could give Juan Soto $48 million. Seems like a simple enough decision to me.

My biggest complaint about Cora is encouraging everyone to tough out injuries when it should be obvious that they're just going to play bad

A+ use of context to make a point. In a vacuum, I agree 100%. However, we need a top-of-rotation pitcher MUCH more than we need Juan Soto. Still, really great point that made me reconsider my position.

I don't think I need to see Slaten on back to back nights until next year.

Something has to change - this is no longer an offense.

Any reason to think he would choose Boston? Maybe he would want to play home games in a very large right-field rather than a little league right-field
