Soto watch officially begins. If he leaves the Bronx, they’re toast.

Maybe John Henry is smarter than everybody else after all. He had his new PoBO trade Mookie Betts to the Dodgers so he could drive in the go ahead run in the clinching game of the World Series against the Yankees for Alex Verdugo so he could have his even newer PoBO trade him to the Yankees so he could make the last out of the World Series. Clever! John Henry is playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers. The master plan - screw over the Yankees.

Gerritt Cole melts down, blows a 5 run lead and looked near tears Aaron Judge drops a flyball Alex Verdugo striking out will be replayed a million times Couldn't have drawn it up much better than that This is better than a sweep. To give Yankees fans just a glimmer of hope and then rip it right from their hands in the most agonizing way possible. Well done, Dodgers. Well done.

Dunno what they're gonna do at 1B, although pretty much anything will improve on Rizzo

If I post “YANKEES SUCK” on literally every single thread on the forum I assume that would be frowned upon

Courtesy of a just posted article on WEEI
"Since joining the Dodgers in 2020, Betts has finished second in National League MVP voting twice (2020, 2023), made the All-Star Game four times, and won two more Gold Gloves and three more Silver Slugger Awards.
Since trading Betts to Los Angeles, the Red Sox have finished in last place three times (2020, 2022, 2023), and have a 353-355 record, good for a winning percentage of .498."

Man the Dodgers are going to be so scary for awhile. They had a lot of injuries and still won it.
I do think this series should’ve been closer, the Yankees made a ton of bad plays and could’ve been up 3-1 right now.
This is going to be nightmare fuel for Yankees fans for awhile. If this was the Red Sox I’d have a lot of trouble sleeping with all those LOBs and errors as well as the game 1 granny.

But… but… but… he’s gotta be breaking down. But.. but… but… just wait until the Dodgers are stuck with his last years (and his 2-and-counting rings)… I am happy. The greatest Sox of my lifetime got another ring. And Verdugo verdugo-ed.

Dave Roberts now has a managerial record of 851-507, a winning percentage of .627! And now he has 2 World Series rings as a manager.
I would say his job security is pretty safe and the Dodgers, with better health, could be even more dominant next year.
One day its not hard to imagine him getting the call to Cooperstown. Of course that other ring and indelible moment as a player doesnt hurt either.

Juan Soto when asked multiple times if the Yankees had an upper hand in free agency made it crystal clear he’s going to the highest bidder

From Reddit:
“Let’s just say the Yankees were pretty sure they caught that final game, but the Dodgers belligerently pried it back out of their glove.”

Mega deals for superstars work I guess. Let’s hope they acquire an elite player or two and get back into the race
