It's really starting to wear on me watching this team try to hit. This is a pitcher they should be putting together innings against. Frustrating.

I miss the first couple weeks when Jackie was ripping everything. Damn knee injury.

Sabathia came out and said today that Fenway is the only place he's been called the "N" word.
I have been to many games at Fenway (as I'm sure many of us have) and I have not heard anyone use profanity of that nature. I have sat in the bleachers, grandstands, upper deck, etc. That said I'm not denying it happened and it's very upsetting. The Red Sox have Mookie, JBJ, Chris Yound and David Price; making them tied with 2 other teams as having the most African American players. We all want them to keep Mookie and JBJ long term, but continued allegations of the sort could prevent them from staying and I couldn't blame them.
Be better Boston. It is upsetting and disgusting.

If they can't get fired up with Sale going tomorrow, and after tonight's embarrassment, then that will say a lot about this team.

I need Mookie to be more aggressive on the bases. Feel like there's been a few scenarios recently where an attempted steal would have been prudent.
I kinda want him back at leadoff

Chili Davis needs to start earning his money and help guys make some adjustments. There's too much hitting talent for this.
On another note, spring weather needs to come and stay. This isn't baseball weather

it's May now, so I'd like to start seeing some of these bats get going. Benintendi is our best hitter right now.

Just watched Xander's 2013 highlights. I miss that swing. Quiet lower half and no lunging at the ball.

It is probable that our guys won't be scoring as many runs this year, but equally probable our guys won't be giving up as much either. If Price can come back to being a # 1/1A type pitcher, you have to like this years teams chances more than last years, all other things being equal (Farrell bullpen mgt, injuries....etc..etc) I'd love for Price to come back and pitch well, but I'm not holding out much hope. Thinking of him as a bonus right now. Need E-Rod and Wright to be solid.

Chris Sale needs to kick all the batters in the groin and wake them up. Gotta be maddening.

Coming into the year I kept thinking that Chavis was a post-hype breakout guy. Was having a decent year before injury last year, 1st rounder. Hope he has a full and productive season. A breakout from him, and a pitcher or two, the system starts to look a lot less barren.

Yeah I'm pretty done with Holt in the lineup all the time. Can't wait for full health.

Nothing like a split squad scrimmage for game 3 of the regular season

The Longhi thing is very interesting. The system could definitely use a breakout year from some fringe prospects like Longhi, Chavis, etc.

Gotta put up runs in the first inning. Get the mojo flowing and ride that wave. Time for Betts and Bogie to show up in the batter's box.

If Xander never swung at another breaking ball in his career he would improve as a hitter. Kluber is going to throw his breaking ball all game long tomorrow unless the Sox adjust. That was awful tonight.

Holt and Beni should be switched. Other than that its about the ideal lineup. Let's jump on them early. Been a while since the offense cooked.

2B Dustin Pedroia (R) 3B Brock Holt (L) RF Mookie Betts (R) DH David Ortiz (L) 1B Hanley Ramirez (R) SS Xander Bogaerts (R) CF Jackie Bradley (L) C Sandy Leon (S) LF A. Benintendi (L) Pathetic. Yeah not ideal. Holt should be no where near the 2 hole. Oh well.

I don't even think Farrell would have made that mistake. Buck just out thinking himself there. Wow.

I wonder if Moncada had been given more rope to make adjustments if he wouldn't have proven to be worth the call up. Shaw and Hill have been tough to watch.
Bogie looks like a mess too. Good night off for him to sit back and chat with Chili all night.
4 game sweep coming right up. The Price is right. Let's get it.

A split would be awesome.
I hope we extend the division lead so we can give guys some days off down the stretch.
