Good win Nesmith just annihilated Jarrett Allen with a dunk Second best dunk of the season, only that one by Gordon beats it and it only beats it because it was a clear as shit charge that got correctly called as such on the field and then overturned because the dunk was just that awesome lol.

Bro Timelord playing more than 20 minutes is flat out not fair for the league lol.

Just taking the temperature here—would you rather they win these last two games and make the playoffs but get waxed by the Chiefs or Bills, or would you rather they lose the last two games and get a better pick? Make the playoffs for sure, but honestly I can't see them winning against the Bills unless they're resting starters, that team is fricking loaded and Allen is back to playing well.

With Brogdon, Smart, White, even R. and G. Williams, I don’t know that there are really shots to go around for a scoring-focused big man acquisition. And you’ll be hard pressed to find a big who is a better defender and rebounder than R. Williams or a better defender than Horford who doesn’t kill you on the offensive end. They could probably use another wing to give Tatum and Brown a little bit of a break from the minutes load, but that’s all I’d be looking for in terms of a trade. I agree, but I struggle with a trade idea because I can't think of a guy they could get for like Hauser and Pritchard that would be, you know, actually worth trading them away if that makes sense? That package is light to get a really good wing, but I really like the players and I feel like it's too much value to get a JAG. And they have the option of running 3 guards line-ups, given how good Smart and White are on defense.

Ideally for me a younger, more physically imposing, big body would help. Boy if only we had a guy like that! Maybe he could be coming back from injury, I don't know. Make him one of the best defenders on the roster and we could be set.

Definitely a great shooting team but that’s a well that can run dry from time to time, it’s not a bad thing to have other ways to win games. I suspect that the presence of Timelord will lead to a lot more easy buckets in the paint and better defense and we’ll see them win in some other ways Agreed! The problem isn't really the amount of shots they get from anywhere, you take what the defense gives you. The thing is the ball movement needs to be consistent so they keep getting open shots, be it from 3 or in the paint. What they should avoid the most is hero ball and stupid possessions.

Too many 3 point shoots. They need to work on scoring without taking so many of them. Bro they have a LOT of really good 3 point shooters, they're playing to the strength of the roster. As long as the shots are open, just let them cook.

His WR core should be better than last year. He doesn't have a WR1, but it's a pretty good group of receivers. I think it's a Moneyball approach that doesn't fly here. His core is good, but he lacks a clear #1 target. To illustrate what I mean, Garrett Wilson made Mike White look somewhat doable as a starter and White is a goddamn bottom tier JAG. Jones has what it takes to be a starter IMO, but he needs a top target or he won't take the next step, he doesn't have the arm to be Mahomes or Herbert.

So was the 2nd half Mac Jones finally getting over his interception worries? Good for him, because if he didn't do that I would have started Zappe next game. Everyone blames everything on MP, yet Mac Jones changed his ways after all those interceptions. Young QB finding his way, exactly what you want to see to end the year. Let's hope he keeps it going. He needs an elite WR. We'll probably talk in circles if it's the coaching or the QB, but Mac badly needs a go to guy.

I don't think Mac is the issue. He has shown he can be a good QB, I don't think the Pats should be looking for a replacement just yet. However, I've been saying this from the start, he lacks an elite arm so he will never ever be Mahomes, Allen or Herbert. He can't run, so Jackson or Hurts is out of question. So where does that leave him, what is a good comp for him? Honestly I think it's someone like Kirk Cousins or Jared Goff. Decent starter, but you absolutely need an elite receiver like St. Brown or Jefferson for it to work. His best WR right now is Meyers which come on is just not good enough.
The question moving forward is do you bet on finding that elusive QB with an elite tool or do you try and give Jones his #1 weapon? Doing what they're doing right now is not going to work.

That is too trite. It’s one thing when shots don’t go down. It’s another thing to fall into bad habits that make a comeback more unlikely. To be fair, I agree with you but had to make that joke once you included some stuff (pull up threes and poor focus on defense) which I don't really think are bad habits they ever had. Sure, Tatum and Brown might pull up from 3 every once in a while (and you have to live with superstars taking stupid shots, Smart does some heat checks which are not ok but hey I'm too used to the Marcus Smart Experience lol) and they might miss some rotations here and there, but I don't think those were ever consistent issues. Too much ISO, no ball movement and complaining to the refs you're absolutely spot on.

It is a bit alarming that they go back to their bad habits (too much iso, no ball movement/cutting, pull up threes, complaining about not getting calls and giving up fast breaks, poor focus on defense) when things get tough and the shots aren’t going down. Yeah it's amazing that they don't play well when they aren't playing well.

I just don't know how Correa's indignation at even being asked about cheating would fly in the Sox market. HOU fans ate it up (and continue to) and I suspect part of that may be down to playing in a less critical media market (my own speculation, having seen markets outside BOS other than HOU -- e.g. SF baseball media didn't dare ask Barry Bonds about cheating; he was served softball after vanilla softball and still is). There are plenty of credentialed BOS media members who would not let it rest until CC either pulled a David Price or pulled an AC. I'm guessing it would be the former. And then you've got a guy on a decade-long, megabucks contract who refuses to talk to media outside of scripted events. Oh, joy. So kind of like the ownership who doesn't get asked how the **** they let Mookie and Xander go away and turned the franchise into the Orioles for whatever reason? I get being buddy buddy with the media as long as the talent is there. The talent isn't there though.

Lets be real. There is zero chance this organization makes a 300+ million commitment to Correa. None. If they do it seals Devers long term fate here. Why?

Pathetic organization. We're the fucking Red Sox and we're bleeding out Mookie, Xander and surely soon enough Devers. This was bad enough in the past, but it's downright inexcusable now.
Signing Correa would ease some of the anger I'm feeling right now, but not a lot. It shouldn't have come to this. Reward your own.

Jayson looks like a 24 year old that had really nice game, went on a 3 day bender, showed up lazy and tired, and didn’t really care. This is a shitpost, right? You didn't mean for people to take this seriously, right? Because if Tatum isn't allowed to have off nights on an absolute INSANE year then I don't know what to tell you lol.

Remember when people whined about a 2028 pick swap for Derrick White, saying it was an overpay? L.o.l. This team is very good. I kind of get the reasoning, 2028 is like forever in the future. But White has been well worth the price, dude's a f*cking stud.
