Not excusing Buchholz here, but the shift and playing the OF shallow with two outs were questionable decisions.

An some people think that can replace Lester through the "prospects" they now have even though it takes time for pitchers to develop, and there will be ups and downs in the process. Clay is a good example, and Lester paid his dues. Do they really believe they can get a comparable free agent for a "fair price" when the Sox want to decide what is fair. Mentality of small shop keepers and pawn brokers.

No more silly talk about bat speed or moving him down in the lineup, please. He's not quite ready to go there. I know you didn't mean me, but I've never doubted Ortiz. This team doesn't win without him. Nope, not you. You know who you are out there... Coming to you from the great northwest

Papi now has one less RBI than our 2nd and 3rd place leaders have combined in that irrelevant category.

I already fed up by Clay's inconsistent. I hate to see he gave back to them after up 3-0. He still not right in the beginning of 2nd inning.

This looks like the Clay that went on the DL he is spraying the ball all over the place. Amazing how close Vasquez made that play at second with the jump Gose got.

Xander continues to be a total head case with RISP. The kid will eventually be ok, but he is a kid , something that the Sox should have known.

Not content to leave well enough alone, Gose gets thrown out by 10 feet.

2nd and 3rd no outs, 0 runs. horrible. Almost as horrible as trying to hit a knuckleball that flutters 2 feet in any direction you might care to name.

Bautista's reaction was telling. He hit a shot into the rightfield gap... except there wasn't one. Bradley was there waiting for it.

Again, plenty of time on the throw and Xander just rushes it. Seen that twice in a week now.

Wouldn't have mattered if Clay could throw a strike to Josh goddamn Thole.
And then Bautista does that.
