Sounding the alarm in August is also a bit sickening. As well as questioning ones testicular fortitude. Deep breaths... It wouldn't be fun to watch if we didn't have to claw and scratch our way into the postseason. what's worth having is worth fighting for.

I am Xman apologist but he is not right . I wish these kids would speak up more. When Farrell speaks I feel there is always miscommunication. Erod and Wright for example. The Sox drop two in tha dump.
How depressing was that stadium. How can the commissioner be happy having that represent MLB? Move them to Montreal.

Jays lose, O's lose. It wasn't that bad of a night after all.

Jays lose, O's lose. It wasn't that bad of a night after all. Two nights in a row of missed opportunity. Throw in the game pissed away in Det and this team could very well be coming home up 2-3 games on Toronto.

UZR updated last night.
Bogaerts dropped to -5 UZR/150, now 37th in fWAR. Deservedly so.
Mookie up to 16.4 UZR/150, 6.2 fWAR and jumped Donaldson again in that department.
JBJ up to 4.9 UZR/150 (still undersells his 9 DRS), jumped to 21st at 4.2 fWAR.
Pedroia up to 14.3 UZR/150, and is now right next to Bradley at 4.2 fWAR good for 22nd.

Also worth mentioning after yesterday, fangraphs has JBJ as the 8th least clutch hitter in baseball this year, with some big names like Bryant, Miggy, Cruz, Mauer, and Dozier worse than him. These guys get a lot of clutch opportunities so it makes sense. Saunders, FWIW, was last.

The Sox drop two in tha dump. How depressing was that stadium. How can the commissioner be happy having that represent MLB? Move them to Montreal. They have a lease that keeps them there through 2027. They can relocate nearby for a modest fee, but they can't afford to build a stadium on their own and the odds of getting public funding seem nil, as the perception in FL is that the Marlins hosed the taxpayers with their stadium (which is beautiful, BTW). Ideally MLB would intervene somehow, either by helping them build a new park or somehow getting them out of the lease without getting sued for huge damages. I have no idea, however, if that would actually be cost effective for MLB as a whole. Nor am I sure how Tampa ranks demographically as a desirable MLB city compared to Austin, Charlotte, or Nashville (the three best potential expansion / relocation sites other than Montreal). Unless two of those cities are better, it would make more sense to build a new stadium in the Tampa area than to move them, and I suspect that's the case. Consider: the most obvious thing in the world is to move the A's to San Jose, but MLB has not been able to square that with the Giants' territorial rights. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to solve the TB problem. Having said that, if they did have to move, Montreal would be perfect, and if Montreal gets an expansion team (and one or the other should happen), they should join the re-alignment version of the AL East, since the Boston / Montreal rivalry would be a natural. In either case, the Blue Jays should move to the NL.

J Upton missed that HR by a couple of feet at the 420 ft wall. All in all, I'll take the results.

That said we definitely should have at least 1 of those games and perhaps 2.
