Cora is bringing in Walden for the 4th inning. So yeah, he sees the pressure to win every game he can right now, but you get mocked on a message board when you point it out. but this is a bullpen game right ? I still think perspective is good here, brother. This team has not had that real great stretch....like 30 out of 40....that I think they will have this season. Certainly, the losses don't help, but it still has to be considered a favorite for at least a wild card spot. Things will turn around.

Velazquez hasn’t thrown more than 52 pitches and was right around there after 3 innings. Not sure it says anything about anyone’s will or want to win. Probably could have went another inning, but Sox took a lead. You're trying to stretch Velazquez now that he's going to be in the rotation for a while.

Mitch "Mom told me singles are for losers" Moreland.
Seriously. 10 homers and EIGHT singles? Awesome.

That’s an insanely bad strike call
And to follow it with a one pitch out, what a big lift for us.

I never play scratch off lottery tix, 'cept tonight, on a total whim. Lo and behold....I got 5x what I put into it.
That is the sign.....we are going on a tear.
OMG.....that was the worst strike call ever.

JBJ needs to start doing something, anything. This is arguably the worst stretch of his career overall. He's been one of the worst players in baseball this year.

I don't think we will ever see JBJ's offensive skills return to 2015-2016 levels. it has to be mental at this point. I just feel terrible for the guy.

My thinking had been he's gonna turn it around because he started this way last year, so I wasn't too worried, but now this feels worse. He was lost for a short period of time early last April, before starting to swing better but hitting into bad luck and then the results finally getting better. This year, he's kind of earned where the numbers are right now, as he's just pulling almost everything on the ground or striking out. It's getting scary, he looks very lost.

Curious that Mookie only has 1 SB this year. Devers has 4.

Eovaldi hasn't started throwing yet, neither has Johnson. He is going to be in this in this role for a while. You need to stretch this guy out and Cora takes him out immediately after taking a lead.

Then that could come back to bite you. You have 4-5 pitchers in the bullpen you can go to reliably for outs. Add- Awesome to see Walden and Workman to continue to have continued success here.

I don't think it's at all coincidental that Velazquez follows Porcello, who is the most consistent long inning pitcher we have.

I’m justifying this Brasier rough stretch as acceptable retribution for his dominating playoff run.
