Red Sox schedule: March 14: at Phillies, announced as 1:05pm March 15: hosting Twins, time TBA March 16: at Orioles, announced as 1:05pm March 17: split squad, hosting Yankees, on the road at Braves, both times TBA
March 15 would certainly work for both teams. But if that's the plan I hope they announce it soon because someone needs to change her flight.

I thought these were described as doubleheaders, but it looks the the Red Sox will host the Braves minor leaguers March 16 while the big club is on the road.

They always need extra catchers during spring training. Could Teel get a NRI call?

They didn't invite Gambrell, who had AAA time, either. I think it's a byproduct of the number of MLB and MLB-adjacent arms who will come into camp stretched out. Bello, Giolito, Crawford, Pivetta, Houck, Whitlock, Winckowski, then perhaps Castillo, Walter, and/or Murphy, and that's plenty of longer outings, especially if they get around to adding one more starter. Some years you have the 5 MLB starters and the 5 AAA starters or something. That's not this spring.

Tyler O'Neill and Jarren Duran in the same outfield will require protein shakes being consumed in the bleachers.

I thought I read he was going to go about training differently and not bulk up as much. There are reasons he may be getting hurt more because of a lack of flexibility. He is one player I'm excited we got, but he looks as big as ever. This is a huge year for him with him being a free agent next winter. Looks like he is going with the same workout routines. If we are to have much success, this guy needs to have a big year!

Honestly, that might be a little smaller than he's been...

Honestly, that might be a little smaller than he's been... Yeah I was going to say the same thing, not sure you can assume from these photos he actually didn’t change his regimen, as he wasn’t going to go from this to being tiny in an offseason. He’s just a big dude.

Good sign seeing Marcelo Mayer taking a grounder, would lead me to believe his shoulder is doing well now. Feel like that was kind of up in the air the last few weeks since there were conflicting reports on his availability out of the gates for ST if I am remembering correctly anyway.

I like to believe most of his ills last year were injury induced and he picks up where he left off 2022. That's Keith Law's theory at least.
