didnt know about Andrus being signed for so long, so I looked it up. Am I the only one that thinks 8 years 120 million is way too much to pay for Elvis Andrus?

I'll take Eck over Remy any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Absolutely.

I don't understand why the Red Sox don't just score 10 or so runs every game.

I think trading him or profar is a better move, and that's why I'm not a gm

The thing with Andrus is that you are paying a hell of a lot of money for his defense, which is always a tricky decision, especially when even the advanced defensive metrics are suspect at best

They had a very young yet proven commodity in Andrus and the top spec in baseball in Profar, wouldn't call that a logjam. It's very likely that Kinsler gets moved to the OF or 1B sooner rather than later. If you can accommodate those two young talents up the middle, you have to do it.

He still hasn't even hit his peak yet and he's already a 3-4 win SS.

Drew is going to make it harder for Iggy to get his job. Maybe he's not the one who should be worried.

So far I'm liking June way better than May.

Logjam was obviously the wrong way to put it. What I was trying to get at is I think the better move for the team is to keep one of your above average short stops, and you use the other as a premium trade chip to get another premium trade chip at a different position. The value profar and andrus have defensively is diluted when one of them is at 2nd. I'd rather have one at ss, kingsler at 2nd, and an Upton or shields. Maybe even a trade for Tavares would work good. This is my opinion, and why I am not a gm.

I'll take Eck over Remy any day of the week and twice on Sunday. 100% this. Eck's stories are a little more spastic but infinitely more entertaining and insightful.

That was a LHP who Carp just hit. Maybe the platooning should come to an end?

Man, this has just been a terrible game for the Rangers. Brutal pitching, awful defense, impotent offense ... they're gonna need Ogando to pitch some innings tomorrow.

Iggy still dropping -- feels like 50% of balls in play-- plenty of soft base hits. Never thought I'd see him this hot.

didnt know about Andrus being signed for so long, so I looked it up. Am I the only one that thinks 8 years 120 million is way too much to pay for Elvis Andrus? There was a fangraphs article when it happened, his absolute best comp was Jeter. But he doesn't have the power. I don't remember the other comps but they weren't flattering. The others all were out of the majors before they were 30.
