Also, is there a way to see which players have had their scouting reports updated? www.soxprospects.com/scouting.htmWe're still working on building out the scouting report updates from 2023 spring training.

Is there a list of previous rankings? I know you guys switched to refreshing the “previous ranking” column at the start of each season, but it would be nice to see at a glance who’s moved up and down. We publish our rankings history 3x per year at www.soxprospects.com/history.htm, so you could compare against the 2022 season ends rankings listed there. Beyond that we generally don't publicly track month to month changes because minor changes often don't mean anything but they can still tend to get misinterpreted and exaggerated. With that, here are the bigger changes since our February update: Bryan Mata up 1 to #6 Shane Drohan up 10 to #12 Chris Murphy down 4 to #17 Marvin Alcantara up 10 to #21 Brainer Bonaci down 6 to #22 Luis Guerrero up 4 to #25 Christian Koss up 5 to #28 Chase Meidroth up 6 to #30 Brooks Brannon down 6 to #31 Allan Castro up 11 to #33 Luis Ravelo up 11 to #34 Jedixson Paez down 7 to #35 Johanfran Garcia debuts at #37 Christopher Troye debuts at #39 Phillip Sikes debuts at #45 Alex Hoppe debuts at #46 Andy Lugo debuts at #47 Tyler Uberstine down 16 to #50 Alex Binelas down 16 to #51 Johnfrank Salazar down 17 to #54

I'm headed home from spring training today, the other guys are staying a little longer. Some prospects who popped for me were Marvin Alcantara, Luis Ravelo, Christopher Troye, and Andy Lugo. Also heard good things about Shane Drohan and Alex Hoppe. We'll have more detailed reports in the coming week on a bunch of players.
Separately, check out the 2023 projected rosters page, which has been updated. Note that the projection is where we think players will be on opening day. There are a few guys we think might be assigned to levels for short stints before early-ish promotions, and there are a few guys with minor injuries that could start them on the IL briefly. We'll eventually share what we can share on that.

FYI, we are aiming to have our 2023 season begin rankings posted to the site on or around Wednesday, April 5. It's technically after the Triple-A season starts, but the other affiliates don't start until April 6. That will leave us with 2 weeks after our spring training trip to digest the scouting and discuss.

Minor league spring training games start on Wed 3/15 and run to Fri 3/31. Minor league camp breaks 4/2.
Group headed down starting on Tue 3/14, will be there until Mon 3/20
There won't be box scores but we should have ongoing coverage on our Twitter accounts. Unfortunately Thu 3/16 is an offday.

Shawn McGrath has been promoted to Senior Staff Writer & Editor. Shawn joined our team in the role of Editor back in February 2018, helping with our notes and Cup of Coffee features on SoxProspects News.
Nick Rabasco has been promoted to Senior Staff Writer. He joined the SoxProspects staff in November 2014 as a Staff Writer, similarly helping with our notes and Cup of Coffee features.
Please help me congratulate our staffers and thank them for their contributions!

The deadline to tender contracts to arbitration eligible players is 8:00 pm ET tonight. As a reminder, if the team tenders a contract, the two sides will eventually exchange numbers for 2023, and then eventually either meet in the middle or go to arbitration. For the Red Sox, most tendered players end up meeting in the middle. Non-tenders immediately become free agents. The Red Sox have 9 eligible players. Devers, Verdugo, Arroyo, Pivetta, and McGuire seem like locks to get tendered. The other 4 players, and their MLBTR arb projections, are: - Ryan Brasier $2.3 million
- Josh Taylor $1.5 million
- Franchy Cordero $1.1 million
- Yu Chang $900k
Any predictions? What would you do if you were in charge?

Didn’t get on in time to ask any questions, but I really enjoyed reading what was already asked and answered so thank you for that. This was my first time hearing about how you started Soxpropsects. I think I speak for everyone here when I say we are very happy you did so haha. It must be pretty cool to see what this site has grown into today. Thank you again. Thank you! If you're interested, The Athletic did a feature on our origin story a few years ago. Bleis ceiling to 8 is new. Leaving open that shadow of a chance that he is franchise-player elite. Very exciting, just remember that's not the projection. He also still has a 2 floor, although that could get bumped up very soon.
Rankings are based on a mix of projection, ceiling, and proximity. Mix of art and science. One of our over-arching goal posts is: if all of these players were entered in a draft, who would you pick first? Reminder that the site ranking is an average of the personal rankings of me, Chris, Ian, and James - after about a 10-day process and discussion at the end of each month. We didn't get to discuss as much as we'd like to have this past week.
Nortchut was on the radar just not in our collective top 60 this month. Swing and miss concerns.
Koss dropped from 30 to 40 in the rankings. 4 draft picks and 2 acquisitions entered the rankings ahead of him. Perales, Rodriguez-Cruz, Dobbins, and Paez got big jumps. That's 10. We don't think any less of him than we did last month.
Same thing for Blaze Jordan. Dropped 4 spots. 3 new players added ahead of him, plus Thad Ward got a small jump. Jordan's grade didn't change.
Yorke was #4 last month and still is #4 this month.
