Watching the Sim City game broadcast and Tapia has been sitting 99-100 with some pretty solid command, I've enjoyed watching him pitch and am hoping he gets a shot if possible.

The broadcasters at the PawSox sim games mentioned that Tapia has been hitting 99 a few times today, and struck out Casas on a 100 mph fastball. Given how the Rays have seemingly found obscure arms for their pens over the years I wonder if Tapia gets a shot in our pen this year.

I'm a fan of the 6:40 start time. 2 game sweep upcoming. But for who? I'll let you know Thursday.

Not to be pessimistic, but just considering all potential outcomes for this year....he's also a guy (who if pitching well) can be flipped at the trade deadline if we're out of contention. This is another reason I love the signing. Low financial commitment, can be very useful on this roster and an upgrade, and if the team is not in the running come the deadline he's potentially a valuable chip for a club somewhere. Really like this move.

A shocking number of solid 2B left over. I think they should guarantee money to Taijuan Walker and then pick up an Aaron Sanchez type. Seems smarter than relying on Houck Shawaryn etc. Also, did I have a stroke? I have ZERO memory of Andrew Cashner being on the Red Sox last season. Just completely disappeared from my memory, and only figured it out when I was wandering B-R wondering if he had any good years recently. Aaron Sanchez may not pitch in 2020 due to a torn capsule in his shoulder, just as a heads up. I'd be interested in giving him a cheap 2 year deal to see if we can get something out of him in 2021 possibly. If a trade isn't made for a pitcher, I'd be interested in bringing in Cashner or Vargas just have someone eat innings or provide some competition in the #5 spot.

96th pecentile spin with his curveball and a 90mph fringe fastball. Haven't seen the corresponding 40 man move yet. I liked Nunez as well, thought he was an underrated prospect for us especially at a scarce position.

Threw his sinker 47.7% of the time last year in the majors and his cutter 24.6% of the time. Another bulk innings candidate possibly.

Probably shouldn't bump such an old thread, but Raudes posted video on his IG of him throwing off a mound. Probably will be ready to go in the spring. Excited to see that wind-up again.

Is he a starter or a reliever? He was a reliever in the most recent tournament with Tzu-Wei.

The GCL Box Score shows Groome with 1 inning and 2 strikeouts before being replaced by Felix Cepeda. Regardless, happy that Groome (and Baldwin) are back.

He lives! Trenton Kemp batting fifth and playing left field for the GCL Sox today. He goes on to double in his first AB. This is awesome to read. Kemp has some great athletic tools and power in his bat. Fun guy to follow in the system.
