FWIW, Foltynewicz is in a better position than Ryu to come back in game 4 on short rest I sometimes can't tell when you're kidding. Announced starters in game 4 Monday are: Foltynewicz & Rich Hill for better or for worse

Kluber 87 pitches & Bauer 1 inning today. I'd expect game 4 to be some combo of Kluber short rest and Bauer.

When they made that deal, Hader was a decent starting prospect yet to debut in the majors, coming off a 5.22 ERA at Colorado Springs (which isn't terrible). Brewers weren't going to flip him for a prospect collection, and he wasn't a guy anyone was trading prospects to get. I wasn't really talking about how realistic it would be. I was talking about hindsight only. Hader is so good. In hindsight, shoulda walked moose n pitch to pina

Rockies go with lefty Tyler Anderson in game 2. Per ESPN
They aren't set up well for game 5. I don't like it
Perhaps we see Marquez in relief game 2, setting him up to be game 5 starter

Kimberly? Really? What the hell is wrong with some of you guys? Rockies going with 12 pitchers Brewers 11 I agree with Eric on Workman and I see no need for Johnson or Poyner vs Yanks. So pitchers 11 & 12 are Kelly & Hembree

The 24th out of the game is their weak spot.
The pitcher who starts the 8th possibly will not get 3 outs before faltering.
A. Kimbrel looks unlikely for that spot B. Whoever finished the 7th could carryover to the 8th, before getting lifted. C. Is Barnes ready for this role?
Edit: auto-spellcheck is a nuisance

Cleve won today, giving them WS homefield over COL & LA. If game 163 on Mon counts in Homefield, then West champ beats out the Indians.
Not sure

The Bucky Dent thing was in regular season game #163
60% chance that there will be at least one tiebreaker game on Monday

chance for one or more tiebreaker games on Monday is fading. I have it at less than 35%. Brewers win. Chance of Monday tiebreaker game Chi-Mil is now at least 25% Chance that LAD plays a tiebreaker on Mon is 31% Vs StL or Colorado

The Yankees look like they're going to be playing at home in the wild card game. A win today by the Yankees guarantees it with the tie breaker going to them. In order for Oakland to win home field advantage they would need to win all three games of the year and the Sox sweep the Yankees at home in all 3 games. Unless Lin sanity keeps coming like a wrecking ball, I don't see it lol. The NL bores me with their dumb pitchers as hitters rule. It turns me away from that league, so I look at their races from a very far lense. Just waiting for the playoffs.....zzzzzzzzz Yankees magic number is 2, which is enough to get a tie. A tie is all they need.

Boredom question for the oldest farts. Best defensive outfield, Mookie, JBJ & Benny or Jensen, Piersall & Williams. I have then as close to even. JBJ and Pirsall are pretty much washes with JBJ having a very slight nod because of his arm. Mookie is considerably better than Jensen but Williams was considerably better than Benny. Even when you cross check, Mookie is better than Williams but Jensen was equally better than Benny. Evans, Lynn, Rice get a distant third. Who do you guys have ? Saberguys need not apply. Recent nominees: '13 Bradley Ellsbury Victorino. Didn't last Drew Ells Cameron Some combo of Lewis Everett Nixon

The NL has become interesting. We may have tiebreaker baseball on Mon. And even Tues. (Which would push the wildcard to Wed)
Chance of a Mil v Cubs tiebreaker on Mon is 25% Oakland home field chance is down to 9%
Edit: After Oak loss, hf chance is 2%

Oakland has 11% chance of hosting the wildcard. Using the 50/50 coin flip method.
Yanks have tiebreaker, A's need to gain 2 1/2 games in 6 days.

Hous has tiebreaker over Sox and over Cleve Therefore, Sox magic number is 2 And Cleveland cannot be #2 seed. Locked into 3. Cleveland can still get WS homefield
Boring.
NL has more interesting weekend

Rays win, looking forward to 4game series, TB v NY They have a pulse, Sox gotta win tonite You keep bringing this up - and I wonder what you most hope to see in the playoffs? The Yankees failing to make it or the Red Sox advancing as far as possible? With the way the Rays have played and pitched down the stretch they are much more dangerous than NY and OAK right now. I'd take another look at what you're wishing for... Keep counting, but Tampa is all but officially finished off and that is a good thing... Golly, Dan. I've been rooting for Yanks to lose all summer. and that was a mistake? Now you tell me!

Glad Cora held off on Mookie. No need to push anything. The Sox should win one game regardless this series. So glad this game got pushed back, now I'll be able to see everything. No need for JDM in RF keep same lineup, put nunie in of
