Morin isnt some one I want because I dont think he gonna hit for much power an we are good with anuff potentiel 3B in the near future an also have Middelbrooks. If Moran gets drafted then hes moving to 3B in the hopes of being John Olrued. Dont see him in the OF really. Stanek worries me because hes thrown alot of pitches an doesnt have good command, Maneae isnt as far along as you would like your top 10 pick to be whos coming out of college an he lacks good command an feel for pitching along with a inconsistent delivery.
Id love to land Clint Frazier. Hes a great baseball player who has good power an plays hard. Has great wrist an is some one I am confident can learn quickly from the coaching on how to improve an become a better player. Meadows has big upside but I am not in love with his bat. He isnt as far along as if like for a top 10 pick. Bryant makes sense because we need a big bat an a 1B. He probably wont need to be in the minors long either. But thats if he producing an living up to his potentiel. His swings get long, alot. And that worries me alot. I havent ever liked players with long swings an always stay away from them. Cant remmember a good player with a long swing? lol. But he intrigues me a lot an shows alot of great things at the plate also to go with good size. I really cant say tho I believe he we be able to clean up that swing just looks like the long swing goes with his long body.
Jonathan Denny is a stud defensive catcher an a great offensive player. He could hit 25 Hrs an win some gold gloves while maintaing a good BA and OBP. He wont take as long as most HS C to get to the Majors either. He has a great understanding of a pitching staff an how to call games already hes advanced in many ways for a HS C. In a class that is filled with stud prep Catchers he is by far the best. He would save us some money and allow us to pick a couple upside picks later on in the draft.
Kohl Stewart is a good prospect who I think will choose baseball over FB. For me on the mound hes Zach Greinke but a better Athlete. Which is why I like him and Dont like him. His size is a worry for me, hes around 6'1 6'2 which is solid but he doesnt look like he fill out much but he looks like some one who may ultimately end up with a great smooth and easy delivery which helps me lean away from some of those concerns about his size an being able to hold up. He a real good FB an could stand to even improve his FB if he can fill out some an more likely just focusing on baseball and his delivery could help add some more miles per to it. He has a very good hard breaking ball as well. Hes #2 for who Id take right now. He will push the slot to its limit which sucks because it wont leave us money for the later rds to invest. But the upside there is high and its no secret that I dont love this draft so if he doesnt sign we get the #8 pick next year an I can live with that.
I understand your general point but Laser Show says hello
