Is Bogaerts faster than Middlebrooks? He's a better athlete, but not much a base stealer.

Is Bogaerts faster than Middlebrooks? I'd say definitely faster. And definitely only slightly faster.

Imagine that-- a sac bunt is the least bad tactical decision Farrell has made all evening.

So Maddon decided to pitch to Pedroia instead of walking him, presumably because he doesn't want a sometimes-wild Rodney pitching to Carp with the bases loaded. That decision burns him.

Jacoby Ellsbury is just lightning fast. I'm going to miss that guy.

Despite what the announcers are saying, I'm pretty sure Lobaton was put into the pitchers spot, and the pitcher's spot is now ninth.

Hey, you know what would have been helpful to have? The threat of Xander pinch-hitting for Saltalamacchia or Drew.
If Farrell manages to actually win this game... well bully for him, I guess.

So glad we didn't have Ortiz to hit there.

So I guess if Koji gets thru the 9th Archer would pitch the 10th? Who else do they have left? The Wright brothers? And the Sox have two starters left in Doubront and Dempster if the game got to the 11th inning.

All the Farrell bashing aside...Sox are 2-14 with RISP Well, two of those are Saltalamacchia and Drew versus a lefty and another is Carp in for Ortiz because he was pinch-run for.
