That is one unusually terrible system for the Braves. When did that happen?

They haven't been getting rated well the last few years but they somehow get some production out of their prospects at least until the bubble burst.

All of their top prospects are with the MLB team so these must be the Marlins b-listers

All of their top prospects are with the MLB team so these must be the Marlins b-listers Truth. BA has started doing a 25-and-under list like BP has always done. For reference on the Marlins, Flynn dropped from 6 to 14 on that list (Fernandez, Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna, Alvarez, Turner, Hechavarria, Eovaldi, Hand on there as graduated but under 25). To be fair, Braves had 6 graduated prospects on their list, and those were the top 5: Freeman, Simmons, Heyward, Kimbrel, Teheran; plus Alex Wood at 8.

That is a hell of a prospect list then! Yelich and Ozuna are going to be really good for a long long time. I always thought of Henderson Alvarez as the next ace for the Blue Jays and I for one am glad he is no longer in the AL East

Nothing wrong with the marlins top guys, they just brought them all up early with nothing to play for. Yelich and Ozuna looked very good.Hechavarria was as good as it gets in the NL with his glove last year at SS. Brantley got hurt and missed some time and the young pitching, in Turner, Eovaldi, Fernandez and Alvarez looks set until they decide one can no longer be afforded. A very young team with little AAA experience.

Say what you want about that owner and the stadium but they essentially had a get out of jail free card with Toronto similar to us and LAD. They got some quality back. Now if they can make some better FA signings going forward, spend in the draft and build smarter in that market.

I was going to make a post about how Wilmer Flores was a flop, how he was such an exciting prospect back in 08 and is a sad example of the attrition rate of prospects. . . then I realized he's still only 21 and had a .887 ops in AAA.

Pretty underwhelming showing by all the NL East teams to be honest.

Pretty underwhelming showing by all the NL East teams to be honest. True that, when the Mets have the best list, you know that something's wrong.

Pretty underwhelming showing by all the NL East teams to be honest. Top heavy to me. Franco, Syndergaard and Giolito are pretty good high prospects.

I like Edwards, but putting him ahead of Almora is nuts.

I don't like that system. Why didn't Kris Bryant drop to # 7? I hate this world.

1. Javier Baez, ss 2. Kris Bryant, 3b 3. C.J. Edwards, rhp 4. Albert Almora, of 5. Jorge Soler, of 6. Pierce Johnson, rhp 7. Arismendy Alcantara, 2b/ss 8. Jeimer Candelario, 3b 9. Dan Vogelbach, 1b 10. Arodys Vizcaino, rhp In the 25 and younger list, they slotted Castro and Rizzo at 3-4 behind Bryant. Seriously, this has got to be the best group of position player prospects in the minors right now by a good amount. As for Edwards, Manuel admitted to having a C.J. Edwards mancrush. Most other folks would probably put him behind Soler I'd think. Also, as for Olt: Jon KK (Elkhart, IN): Mike Olt doesn't slot into the bottom rungs of the Top 15 25 and Under list? John Manuel: Not at this point, no. Between his vision and concussion issues, there’s real question as to whether or not he’ll be a productive player again.
