and for the record....just because a guy is pitching bad it doesn't mean he is injured. Unless he is out of options, of course.

So, Brock Holt doesn't play Shortstop all that well, huh?
Well, he's not the only one.

That's obviously a bad play by Carp, but that's a verrrry easy hop for Herrera to handle. They have to think about getting this guy out of the organization for good.

Wouldn't be a Red Sox game without an embarrassing defensive gaffe.

We already knows Herrera is not good hitter but come to realize he is a bad defensive player. He is just useless.

No idea what they saw in him. Career .709 OPS in the minors, including a cushy stretch of .747, .692, and .664 in the incredibly hitter friendly PCL from ages 23-25. Then nothing spectacular in the offense friendly Coors Field over a handful of games. And we have witnessed the lack of defensive competence. Time for a change.

I'm sure this can be explained. Say, has anyone noticed a slight discoloration in the vicinity of his right buttock?

Should have known better to have Tazawa pitch in this stadium. Now we'll need Koji, because saves.

Tazawa has really struggled against Blue Jays hitters.

Isn't this the non-reviewable neighborhood play?

3.86 ERA, looking pretty good. Now if you just tell me that Tazawa had a FIP near 54.00 I will be completely convinced of its predictive powers.

I would've gone to Miller here. Best weapon available to win the game without burning Koji. I'd have saved Capuano incase there was a tie.

As soon as the first run was in, it was a save situation, and that is holy to Farrell. Much as we hate it. I'm fine with Capuano... and I would be even more fine planning to let him get 5 outs here.

Sigh, this was really supposed to be a stress-free finish.

Sending Tazawa against Toronto isn't a good idea at all. They owned him last season with 1.453 ops.

Could use 2-4 runs here to give Koji a break.
