Need that call. That was strike three.

Soooo, I've been traveling and barely paying attention for about a month. What'd I miss?
Seriously, though, specific question: what happened to Wright? I only saw a shoulder injury.

I'm sure no one here blasted Farrell for that decision.

Farrell leaving Pomeranz in to face Davis for the fourth time is so, so, dumb.

Farrell leaving Pomeranz in to face Davis for the fourth time is so, so, dumb. Agreed. Bringing Pomeranz on for the 8th was fine - I think I'd have done the same - but Davis was the 4th batter of the inning so there was plenty of opportunity to have someone ready for him. I'm on Gamecast, is/was someone warming?

Agreed, that was really poor judgement.

Starting to think Ortiz's claim that Bobby V "has mental problems" can apply to JF. The guys decisions are idiotic.

Does anyone else's stomach churn the second they see Abad in the game?

Farrell leaving Pomeranz in to face Davis for the fourth time is so, so, dumb. This is why Farrell needs to go.. I'll give you starting the inning, like u said not vs Davis

Does anyone else's stomach churn the second they see any Red Sox reliever in a close game? Yep.

Farrell leaving Pomeranz in to face Davis for the fourth time is so, so, dumb. No way. Farrell knew Pomeranz's gritty determination and bulldog attitude were almost guaranteed to win the day. Besides, four times through the order meant he had a good rhythm going. In all seriousness, a solid job by Pomeranz today. Be nice if they could close it out for him.

Farrell leaving Pomeranz in to face Davis for the fourth time is so, so, dumb. And going to Abad instead of Ross was dumb too.

Farrell's biggest strategic flaw is that he manages the way he would have wanted to be managed when he was a pitcher. Maybe that has some self-esteem/clubhouse chemistry benefits. But in terms of in-game strategy, it means chronically leaving starters in two long because he wants them to finish the inning or leave with their head held high or whatever.

Who did you guys want him to bring in? Kimbrel? Not gonna happen.

Starting to think Ortiz's claim that Bobby V "has mental problems" can apply to JF. The guys decisions are idiotic. And yet you never heard any player saying anything like about him. Wonder why.

Abad hasn't been very good with us so far but he's honestly probably just shocked to be coming in to half of these situations. We got really lucky here.

Dang can this team even win for Pomeranz??? Pitches a solid game and Farrell expects him to go 8? Then when he can't here comes Farrell and his man Abad with the tying run on. Sure seems like it is poorly managed to me. I guess if your manager believes it is all due to luck than it works!

Abad looked awful Friday. That was a pretty idiotic decision that could have blown the game. Luckily Ramirez bailed us out.

Does anyone else's stomach churn the second they see Abad in the game? Dombrowski might need to DFA this player. You have to believe there is better arms some where in the minors?
