They have a good amount of veteran depth, it's just not starting caliber players. I actually love the mix overall. You have the veterans for experience, but also the young guys to grow around Tatum and Brown. Which is what you want. Gotta say Robert Williams could be the key guy this year. Haven't been able to watch the games but his box scores have been what you want. He's making the defensive plays like Blocks and Steals. D is going to have to be this teams calling card and no one could have a bigger impact than Williams. Even if it's just 15-20 minutes a game. Their starting lineup is likely: Walker Brown Hayward Tatum Kanter Which leaves Smart and Wannamaker as their only veteran depth. Unless you count Theis which I guess is fair. Reports Ive seen haven’t been good on Williams defense but you’re right he’s key. Big Frenchy is supposed to be their best defensive big but offers nothing offensively.

Have Harden and LeBron ever kneeled during the National Anthem? Has Kap spoken on China?
Or are you just re-posting a racist piece of junk?
Just curious

Either you care about civil rights for everyone or you're a hypocrite. I fully support kneeling for the national anthem. But I also support Hong Kong, not China.

In that Harden did little more than what Steve Kerr did (passed the buck bc of . . . BUCKS). But Steve Karr isn't on that picture and we know why.
EDIT: And to be clear, I was careful about how I phrased it so as not to call YOU racist, specifically. That comic sends a clear message however.

Got it, just have to change the subject from ignoring civil rights abuses for money reasons which is really the only point being made.

Man I hope his absolutely moronic participation in this clusterf*ck leads us to stop caring about how athletes feel politically because they're really not informed enough to talk about it. But everything is political nowadays so yeah let's see the world through the eyes of a mega talented but not particularly educated, uber rich NBA player.

I like how LeBron called the MIT graduate uneducated. Yeah I was fairly confident the man was an imbecile before this, this was just confirmation. It's easy to dunk on easy targets when you have support for being "on the right side of history", even if do so in a shallow way you're still going to get lauded. However, if you try to partake on tougher conversations, the sh*t will just blow on your face. At the end of the day, he's a basketball player and not a political commentator. We should keep it that way.

I'd have had more respect for LeBron if he had just said that Morey should have considered HIM (LBJ) and the amount of money he stands to lose if China pulls its support for the NBA(endorsements, Space Jam 2, etc.)

Never mind posted this before reading all posts.. Steve Kerr doesn’t have endorsement money at stake so I think it’s pretty clear why he’s not in the comic.

I deleted a post with a pic of guys kneeling for the national anthem while pledging allegiance to China's flag. I didn't see it as racist, but whatever. Steve Kerr wasn't in the pic because he didn't kneel at the national anthem I guess.

And it's bad money. China is bad money. We're reaching the point where everyone might have to choose to give up on some comfort to force the hand on China. That place is a hellhole and the amount of inexcusable human rights atrocities they have committed is just impossible to ignore. It's going to come at cost for us and for every corporation with interests in China, but it needs to happen.

Carsen Edwards . . . WOW! Feeling pretty good about this kid, he's a great scorer and his flaws as a playmaker aren't going to matter much since we have Smart and Hayward on the roster.

If that is your starters it leaves a bench with seven players and four veterans in Smart, Wannamaker, Theis and Poirier. I certainly count the Euro's with five plus years of experience as Veterans. Reports from the preseason? All the reports I've seen have been praising him and talking about all the extra time he put in to get ready for this year. Praising his work ethic and how he's in better shape. He's going to need playing time. The difference from College defensive anchor to one in the NBA is huge. I hate saying this but I don't think he's the brightest guy who can just learn our D watching tape. He's going to have to make mistakes in games, get yelled at and learn that way. Shame he only got one year to learn from Horford.

Edwards is impressive, yet we already knew that. He's just showing us he can be the Lou Williams type guy we thought.
Trent Waters looks to be showing us he's a lot better than we thought. He's a legit PG that can score.

Tremont is on a 2-Way so he'll likely play in the G (I think it's like 45 days on active roster before they have to convert to an NBA contract). Besides, I'd rather let the kid play/develop than get 3rd PG minutes and/or sit.

Chris Haynes reporting that the offer to Jaylen is 4/80. Brown not likely to sign that.
