In case anyone is wondering, the Braves are the only MLB team that is publicly traded, hence why we have access to this kind of information.
I'd presume this is about what's happening across the board. I have a feeling this offseason is going to turn back the clock to the 1990s era of haves and have-nots.

Which in turn is why I think JDM opting out is unlikely.

The bottom is going to fall out of the market for Clevinger and Plesac. I wonder if any teams could use them next year....

Of course we know the local 9 could, but if they're going to continue to behave that way I wouldn't want them for teammates if I were, say, E-Rod. They could do far more harm than good if they're actions and attitudes don't change.

I am guessing it was a learning experience for two young players. ADD: I looked at service time. This could delay Clevinger's free agency by a year and it's close either way for Plesac.

It's political but it is pretty related and likely to affect the situation.
Russia claims to have a vaccine and will inject their entire medical force in two weeks. Do I trust Russia ? No but I don't trust big pharma either when there's hundreds of billions on the line. If all goes well, Russia doesn't have enough labs to mass produce so they are farming it out. The Philippines with it's new India financed pharmaceutical sector will be a major supplier.

Perhaps, but did they really need to learn this? How selfish and uncaring of them, particularly Clevenger who went on a flight with his teammates afterwards. Disgusting.

Some guys named Chapman and Osuna are still playing baseball, right?
Not minimizing the fact that they acted like selfish idiots here and need to show they learned from the whole experience, but hell yes I'd take Clevinger and Plesac...can we get a package deal?

Not good for team chemistry.

I wonder what percentage of the players fall in the, shall we say, Aubrey Huff category and don’t care at all that these guys broke these rules.

The Philippines with it's new India financed pharmaceutical sector will be a major supplier. They have skipped stage three drug trials. Without that I'm not taking it, Covid while bad isn't that deadly. I'd like to know the success rate, side effects, both short and long-term. Frankly we don't know enough right now about almost anything. They can't even agree on antibodies versus T-Cells and what is going to work. Just not the type of thing you rush so you can be first.

Keep it to baseball. Whether or not there's a vaccine is arguably relevant but we've already tried to do arguably relevant and failed too many times. Thanks.

Baseball (stadiums) and the pandemic: Dodger Stadium will serve as a vote center for the presidential election in November, making the Dodgers the first Major League Baseball team to make their venue available for voting. Any registered voter in Los Angeles County can visit the stadium over a five-day period. Parking will be free. Probably Mookie's idea. apnews.com/3ff2d839fc9d79391bbd4c55818e1af2

Dodger stadium, the 3rd oldest in baseball, is on the periphery not just of downtown business and cultural centers, but of several large multi-cultural neighborhoods. America’s pastime to the rescue!!?!?! The key is lots of parking, which most parks lack (ie Fenway, Oakland), but urban parks that can, during this pandemic, should follow LA’s lead in this

Jeff Passan @jeffpassan · 4h Saturday’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates is likely to be postponed after a Reds player tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell ESPN.
The fallout is unclear — will be for days. But after the Marlins and Cardinals outbreaks, avoiding another is vital.

After today, 16 more days until the salary reset. And right now, that's the only thing that matters (for Red Sox fans, about baseball).
