Based on honesty. There’s no reason to act like they were full strength when they weren’t at all. I don’t feel like going down a rabbit hole on the role of those guys on this years Magic team. I'm being honest. Nesmith and Pritchard have been more impressive than anyone on the Magic. My initial comment was towards the group not just you and it was about what I felt was people talking about the Celtics second stringers beating up on the Magics first stringers. I don’t feel that’s an honest take when they were also missing 3 key pieces. That’s all it was, nothing more.

What I didn’t like about last night is Nesmith not getting big minutes and a prominent role after his great game in Orlando. I feel like it should have been an emphasis to put him in a key role with some of the other guys back to see how he responded to it. Ride the momentum.

Ime has made it clear that Nesmith is a complementary piece. I just hope he continues to develop, because I think he’s got all star potential. His effort and controlled rage is a huge part of what this team has lacked the last two seasons.

Technically, everyone not named Tatum or Brown are that.

If we are riding the veterans like Scheoder and Richardson and not developing Romeo and Nasmith in-game, I'm gonna be frustrated. The team gets capped pretty quickly if the young guys aren't outgrowing those flawed vets. I know there just aren't that many minutes and injuries will happen. But what is the point of bringing on a young and hungry coach if he just plays whoever has the most experience.

I agree with regards to Richardson- if he doesn’t quickly become a difference maker like he was in Miami then he should ride the bench until the playoffs and injuries.

Technically, everyone not named Tatum or Brown are that. It makes a difference because he didn’t say Nesmith is a “core part of the future” or “we think he has a really bright future.” Which means don’t be surprised if Smart and Richardson are getting 30+ minutes a night while Nesmith is getting 18.

Isn't part of that a sorting out process...trying different combinations giving different guys opportunities game to game? And historically the Cs have gone with vets more initially...not that history is determinative today. I think by the 20 game mark, depending on quality of play of course, the younger guys will have more of a role.

I had big issues at 14 with him, yet two way contract he's perfect. We just released everyone else without signing anyone to fill that last spot. I'm kinda surprised, he was always a long-term guy and his G league numbers weren't bad.

I wanted to see Nesmith play more, I feel him grouping his big games together is the next step. He can't do that without minutes.
A good coach should be able to use the depth, yet without injuries it's not going to be easy to give everyone minutes.
Also our Coach majorly downplayed Robert Williams issues compared to what was posted here. Saying he was just sore and he was just being careful.
We've seen some of what our new coach brings, yet I'm also kinda clueless about so much. I'm excited, yet I get the feeling it's going to take him some time to figure things out.

That is impressive for sure but the fact that this is after practice and guys are working this hard after is also impressive. Bullish on this season. Hope Timelord can be healthy!!

How do the Suns not extend Ayton? Crazy.

He wanted a five year full max level deal, Sun's offered his choice of 3 or 4 year max deals. I don't understand how he gets more by turning that down. Team max deals have bigger raises and free agent deals are max four years and the Suns can match it. Unless he thinks another season can convince them to give him a five year max deal.

So glad we don't have to put up with this crap. What a headcase, afraid to shoot, won't practice. Dude should have been in a gym for the past 3 months shooting 1000 shots a day. Spoiled entitled athlete that doesn't have a clue. Getting how much guaranteed? Yeah, glad he isn't our headache.

The worst of the worst.

But he's being foolish (beyond the other adjectives) bc, if I understand what's being tweeted out, these are fine-worthy and suspension-worthy antics. So he's not getting paid.
I thought the whole point in coming back was getting paid. You can't be so blatantly insubordinate.

He should go play with Kyrie.
