I'm excited for the thunder in the low minors, the Sox did a good job acquiring potential impact bats in the last couple of seasons.

Despite being one of my home teams, I actually had a really difficult time getting down to Fluor Field in 2018....
MY home teams are Asheville, Greenville and Hickory (all within 70 miles of me). Unlike prior years In 2018 they all seemed to run together, home at the same time and on the road at the same time. So every other week all were on the road and then when they all came home I had to choose between 3 match ups and they never seemed to favor Greenville. So I made just 3 trips instead of my typical dozen or so.
Fortunately this won't be an issue this yr.

FWIW it seems like the teams that develop the most SP also commit the most resources to it. The Braves have had a dozen or more highly drafted pitchers come through Rome (low-A) in recent years. The 2016 team had 4 #1 picks in their rotation. Soroka, Touki, Fried, Allard... The Yankees have 25 right handed fire ballers right now in their low minors. The Padres have a ton of arms too. The Red Sox tend to have 1 or maybe 2 high upside arms in the low minors at the same time (Espinoza and Kopech).
They developed Kopech, they just didn't keep him.

World Champion Red Sox. Hell of a season and a hell of a run through October.

I agree with most above they traded from a position of strength and redundancy. And brought in a solid vet who should bring stability with the glove and lengthens the lineup. Great move

Great work fella's, I just read all 13 pages. I don't follow the amateurs at all but this seems like a solid haul. Particularly excited about Northcut. To pair with Casas and Decker. Potentially 3 impact bats is definitely a reason for optimism. Feldman sounds great too.

Not suggesting they're is a comp. Only that I see some similarities in`the minimal load and the bat to ball skills and that IMO he too could benefit from a swing adjustment. Sorry if the post gave that impression.

Definitely, SP has a chance to be a strength in Greenville, if the main guys all get there.

This is severe no doubt but having read the allegations wow, that was pretty brazen by Coppy and company. My question is, where is the culpability for the trainers and the players themselves? They know the rules too and all they seem to get is a 2nd bite of the apple.
Also are we going down a slippery slope here with voiding contracts and allowing players a 2nd payday. Aren't they all going to start singing at the 1st sign of impropriety?

Listening to the Alex Cora press conference. He's a sharp and likeable guy, would love to see him have a long run in Boston

I like it too, I'd be surprised if the owners are fully on board though, they'd lose some gate and the NL owners will have to pony up for DH's
It's kind of radical, I've thought for a while that 2, 16 team leagues made a lot of sense. Get away from this endless interleague

Gardy to the Tigers is a strange fit. A veteran mgr going into the early stages of a rebuild, I guess he just took what he could get. Seems like a situation where Detroit could have gotten creative and plucked a young up and comer from the minors.

Even though it came in a losing effort the Devers inside the park HR vs Houston was pretty damn hilarious.
