I'm not a seller; I'm a buyer. Just looking for a starter. I'm willing to trade Kiké, Arroyo, and BobbieD. What'll that get? I love this team!

No way I'm trading Nick Pivetta. He's become a key member of our relief corps. Ditto, Chris Martin.

I'm happy. Maybe working with Tek everday can improve his defense.

An ESPN reporter suggested trading Dugie and Paxton to the Astros for prospects. We all love prospects, but Dugie has, arguably, been the Sox MVP this year. We do need to field a competitive MLB team, and I want Dugie on it. Big Maple's a free agent after the season. Would we want to extend him before then?

I'd suggest we pay whichever team now has Iggy so we can fix the ss probem

Iggy, anyone? He's just left the Padres. But Pablo has been a life-saver.

And I'm of the hope that we'll be on the brink of contention (if only WC) by the deadline.

I understand that. And it's true for many GMs. Who would you want for RF, then? Duggie is showing no signs of declining, and he's young.

I don't understand all the "trade Verdugo" talk. He's just who,you want on your team. Excellent plate discipline, doing well as leadoff, good arm, goodish speed. Seems to love the team. We need him. This team just needs some breaks -- like last night.

What about a trade target? I think with the glut of middle infield prospects the reds have coming up, Jonathan India would be someone they may he able to get. Would you do a package built around Rafaela and Abreu? No. We need to keep Rafaela. We all hope Duvall is recovered and back to being amazing (for all 8 games). I have strong feelings about all the options, but here's hoping the Sox will be buyers, and that Story returns. Sale, too.

Way too early. Plenty of time left. With Duvall and hopefully Story coming back soon, the offense will be greatly improved.

I'm with you, wildsox. I love his energy, and he knows how to use his speed. A good player. I like Arroyo too. But he is SO fragile.

Alfaro has opted out. Sox have 24 hours to promote him or lose him. He's a good hitter. Would he be worse than Schwarbs in the outfield? Or first base?

How about Aquaman? I believe he he has a June 1 mobility opt-out. He certainly has the bat of a major leaguer. Too bad his catcher defense is so awful (apparently). Has he played any other positions? I'd love to keep him. Tapia too.

Looks like Tapia is either headed to another team or AAA. It's a shame that Tapia doesn't have a spot on the 26-man. Duran should be playing everyday in AAA rather than riding the bench in the majors. Tapia is content with the bench spot and has value in a reserve role. But it's Abraham. Wait to read verification.

I'm glad we have him, and I hope he can... refine... his catching skills in Woostah.

Alfaro's upward mobility deadline was the 25th. Tapia's is today.
I hope they both goon the 40-man.
Any news?

I'm loving this (spring training) team so far. But then I always do -- they're the Red Sox! The only year I didn't follow them avidly was the BobbyV Reign of Error.
I gave up on the so-called journalists years ago. I only read Alex, Chad Finn, and Jen McCaffrey. And Peter Gammons, if he's having a good day.
Come on, Chaim. Show them what the Sox are made of this year. We're in it for the long haul.
Book it.

My dream: Set up a remote studio in Pedey's house and let him be color man for maybe 40 games a year. The return of the Laser Show.

Better: Just sign Iggy. Duran to work on 2nd base in Worcester.

I agree with your #3 -- but Iggy, not Andrus. $5m; team option for Year Two.
