This is pitiful, I wish the players would just force the issue. Vazquez, Bogaerts, Devers, Benintendi, Verdugo, Martinez, Eovaldi, Workman, Barnes, Hembree, Casas, Downs, Dalbec & Mata should all opt out of the season. And just throw away all of the long term gains we've made ? No thanks. C - Plawecki 1B - Moreland 2B - Peraza 3B - Arauz SS - Lin LF - Chavis CF - JBJ RF - Pillar DH - Ockimey Bench - Lucroy, Chatham, Hernandez, Munoz SP - Perez SP - Hart SP - Shawaryn SP - Openers/Bullpen SP - Openers/Bullpen

Fun fact of the day; 2013 Red Sox top OF OPS plus was 118, Verdugo has a 116 OPS plus currently. I don't think we were in trouble that year😁. That 2013 team is a good example of how you never know how a team might come together and be successful. No one on the team had better than 4.9 fWAR. The top 5 starters combined for 11.2 WAR. Lester had the most at 3.3. Only Buchholz (in 16 starts) had a sub-3.50 ERA. Does a rotation of Lester, Lackey, Buchholz, Doubront, and Dempster really seem that much better than what we could reasonably hope to get next year?On the other hand, it's remarkable how almost everyone on that team was at least pretty good, just an extremely balanced roster - something you couldn't even say of the 2018 team, which had a few glaring holes. Can Bloom be good/lucky enough to put together a roster like that? I'd like to find out... Well he’s starting with E Rod & Eovaldi, I don’t think it’s a sure thing that Perez gets his option picked up & Sale, what in September? So, three spots to fill. I sure hope he’s good enough because unfortunately he’s not going anywhere

3 up; 3 I think will make it to the show and stick Mata Zeferjahn Shugart
3 down; 2 I think never reach their potential & 1 who if this was a regular year would have been rule 5 returned Song Feltman Arauz
3 just right; hopefully we see all 3 at some point this year Casas Downs Groome

They ought to encourage X to opt out. Why get hurt for this? Vazquez, Bogaerts, Devers, Benintendi, Verdugo, Eovaldi, Barnes, Workman, Casas, Downs, Dalbec, Mata, Groome, Houck, D. Hernandez, Taylor & Duran should all opt out.

I don’t think anybody is buying yet, unless it’s at a discount. Maybe if the league last until the trade deadline

Jen McCaffre @jcmccaffrey · 3m Red Sox roster: PITCHERS (15): Matt Barnes, Ryan Brasier, Colten Brewer, Austin Brice, Dylan Covey, Nathan Eovaldi, Matt Hall, Heath Hembree, Josh Osich, Martín Pérez, Jeffrey Springs, Phillips Valdez, Marcus Walden, Ryan Weber, Brandon WorkmanCATCHERS (3): Jonathan Lucroy, Kevin Plawecki, Christian Vázquez INF (7): Jonathan Araúz, Xander Bogaerts, Michael Chavis, Rafael Devers, Tzu-Wei Lin, Mitch Moreland, José Peraza OF (5): Andrew Benintendi, Jackie Bradley Jr., J.D. Any G.M. that puts together a Pitching Staff like Bloom has assembled this year is clearly & purposefully trying to have a losing season.

You want BOLD, here it is;
Darwinzon Hernandez is impressive out of the pen & starts a few games and the debate over Starter or Closer is intensified & continues into next off season.
Peraza proves to be the best signing by Bloom and earns the starting job at 2nd base.
Jeter Downs is the starting Center Fielder during the last month of the season.
Chavis proves to be a valuable bench player with time at 1B, 3B, 2B, and even gets some time in LF
Vazquez hits 300 with 10 Home Runs, & plays outstanding defense & is the unheralded MVP of the team
Nobody who starts more then 7 games has an era of under 4.50
The Pitching Staff as a whole is the worst in the Division & the Red Sox finish under .500
No trades are made at anytime during the season

Martin’s Ks were too much. I’d rather go HS with upside than college toolshed with a glaring weakness. I don’t want him, I was just wondering. Starting Pitching!
