Yikes. Sale lucky he's only given up 4. Hope the offense still has something in the tank.

Well that was not an ideal sequence to the 8-9 hitters. It happens though, lets bounce back here Sale.

Amazing. The Mets are a clownshow of an organization currently...the Knicks of the MLB. Appropriate, given they share colors. No idea what the Mets are thinking. Curious about what they gave up.

Who are these random players from the Yankees putting up .850+ OPS seasons?! Gio Urshela? Mike Tauchmann? DJ LeMahieu? Luke Voit? Really? I feel like nobody will fear them in the playoffs unless they add a legitimate ace.

Not sure what Boone is smoking but the only one out there who looks like a savage is Cashner.

Mookie!!! Man the Sox top 4 hitters are elite. Absolutely. Must be completely terrifying to face that top 4. Also, 1-9 I think the Sox can stand toe to toe with any lineup right now. If JBJ and Beni put it together... look out.

Ahahah that's what you get for throwing 8 pitches inside to Mookie. Eat it Paxton!

Cashner has to get some calls and some ground balls or this can be ugly. A couple of strikeouts keep things pretty.

Crap like this is why baseball is a dying sport. Nobody wants to watch through those meaningless delays so that either team can gain a tiny tactical advantage.

In other good news - Blue Jays giving back with a 10th inning win against Cleveland! Nice win today. Keep on plugging.

I have to say as much as I loved Cora last year, he's been meh this year. Completely irresponsible to gas Workman then leave him out there when you have Darwinzon ready to go.

Roster mismanagement around the fringes once again from this FO. Par for the course. Its absolutely the wrong move to send Marco down instead of Travis.

Sad to see JD and Mookie fouling off frisbee meatball curveballs middle middle and middle up. Those mistakes need to be punished if you want to win.

Those of you looking for bullpen reinforcements might enjoy this slider from Houck. Just nasty.
Honestly, my move at the deadline is don't sell or buy. You basically gain a solid couple of arms in Hernandez, Houck, and Eovaldi to shore up the pen.

I was waiting for the hot takes on how awful Cashner was after he gave up a few runs, like any normal 5th starter. Glad to see the gameday thread didn't let me down.

I really liked NAW, but let's at least wait till we see a healthy Langford play. It wasn't some crazy wild pick, the guy has major talent. Totally agreed, my position aligns with Don's pretty well in that I am not down on Langford per se. I'm just really high on NAW so its more about him than about disliking the Langford pick. I think Langford could be really good, especially with the shot work he's putting in.
