Man, seeing Alexander-Walker just absolutely run train in summer league reinforces the disappointment with taking Langford over him. Still happy with our picks and draft overall but man he's going to be really, really good.

Sale is cooked. Silly that we extended him knowing about the shoulder.

What a great way to start the 2nd half.

That's great news. I feared they were going to hang onto him just for the possibility of a trade. Wonder if Tacko gets that spot? Or Tre moved to roster, Tacko gets the two way instead? Maybe they also like Green enough to try to keep him instead?

Meh, I think cutting Yabu is worth giving one of the younger guys a shot because they look so solid, comparatively. Can't keep dead weight on a roster just for a hypothetical trade in my eyes.
Also, why exactly was Max Strus promised a 2 way? He's not a bad player by any means but we really need both those two way slots (thinking of Fall and Waters). Any way to rescind that offer?

Honestly its stupid that they had to play past the delay anyway. I would be sleeping out there at this point too. Baseball needs to adapt faster than it has been as a game, or its going to lose not just fans, but players too.

Why the hell is Nunez getting meaningful at bats?! I'm usually not on the digust train but that is absolutely disgusting.

Devers is amazing and the players should be ashamed for not voting him into the ASG. However, I'd rather he and X rest for the ASB anyway.
Anyway, have a day Rafy!

I really like the Poirier signing. Reminds me of a bigger version of Theis.

So we overpaid Eovaldi to be closer instead of overpaying Kimbrel, awesome.

Anyone care to HATE Al Horford as much as everyone hates Kyrie? This is exactly what happened here. No, because from what it appears, the 76ers offered Horford more money than the Celtics. Plus, Horford was an amazing teammate and leader by example, played hard for this team. Horford also NEVER threw teammates under the bus. I'm not going to blame him for taking more money while also going to a contender, even if that contender happens to be somewhat of a rival. Can't blame the guy doing what he thinks is best for his career after being a great teammate and player for us.

I think Kanter is a solid option at that price. Hope the defense holds up, though. Probably prefer Vonleh, but can't complain at that cost.

Wow, looks like Golden State will be completing a sign and trade for D'Angelo Russell. Insane offseason.

I have to say, not sure I'm a fan of the clear spectacle that these games were deliberately set up to be. Hope the Sox come back though.

Do we admit the Sox need another high leverage arm yet? No we don't because updating beliefs based on an n = 1 or 2 or even 5 sample is reactionary silliness. Can we say that Matt Barnes shouldn't be a high leverage arm? For now, sure. But that's different.

I mean that's obviously coming when you clearly only have one pitch. Too bad. Looks like another walkoff will have to do.

I like Devers hitting 2nd. Likely to get a lot more pitches to destroyed. Absolutely agreed. More protection for Mookie, too.

To be fair... The bullpen is probably pretty fried. Also Mike Shawraryn is a AAA pitcher still. Hope we can salvage this.
