It's generally assumed that a plus defender at SS (there was a time where that was thought to describe Marrero), would be even better (relatively) at 3B (this in part is the justification for positional adjustments).
With very little data, I'd say I haven't been that impressed with Marrero's defense at 3B, but of course some of that is probably his unfamiliarity with it; if you're going to tolerate a sub-600 OPS, you really need a stud defender, and I don't think either Marrero or Dominguez qualify

Dominguez has only two MLB seasons where he played substantial innings: 2013 -2014
DRS: 8 -4
UZR: -2.4 -11.9

wrt to Devers: Earlier *this* spring, I had a ST game on in the background, I looked up and there happened to be a brutal misplay at 3B and I thought "Oh Panda . . ." - except his # didn't look right Sure enough, the camera then focused on the baby face of Devers - I quite literally had mistaken him for Sandoval. You can go on pretending he's shaped like Mookie Betts all you want . . .

After watching this game, how could anyone be opposed to: - robo umps - a strikezone that includes up to the letters (instead of the waist) - a 20-second pitch clock - quick pitches made legal

There have been 3 "barrelled" balls this game - all by TB (Kiermaier - out; Souza - out; Sucre - single) It's baseball

Has anyone seen Devers live? How do you think his glove could profile in centerfield? He's shaped like Pablo

Kimbrel currently has gone 12 games w/o a walk; he also had a walkless 12-game stretch last year (mid-May to mid-June - I guess I was comatose then) I don't see anything fundamentally different, mechanics appear the same, and although he's throwing his FB at a career-low rate, it's not much less, his velocity is up a tick. Perhaps he's made some core sustainable change, but it's more likely he's just having his best stretch at the start of the season instead of sometime in the middle. If we see another month of this . . .

And more important than his unquestioned dominance, is he's now dominating in non rocking-chair situations. Chapeau

Fantastic performances by Rodriguez and Kimbrel. And Mookie Betts covers for many others' sins. I'm starting to become empathetic with Angels fans

This team is just not playing well. Pedroia's horrible baserunning on display, and two atrocity ABs by Benintendi and Bradley.

Dombrowski acquired the wrong Milwaukee reliever (no surprise)

The problem though is that Mookie is your best everything, maybe they'll let him hit multiple spots

The solution is to move Pedroia down in the order

Guys, he's hurt; he was sitting at 90 in his previous start as well. He doesn't have the stuff to get away with it

Guerra's only 21 and his calling card is as a ++ defender. But sure, 30%+ K rates aren't going to cut it, even if he's Andrelton Simmons

Steamer and Zips both have Kimbrel ROY at well over 10%, that seems right to me
