Sounds like Matt Shaw might be going to the Cubs, right in front of Red Sox.
No chance they thought Kyle Teel would be there. It has to make it an interesting decision.

Tommy Troy going to the D-Backs per Joe Doyle. Teel or Shaw will be there.

Nolan Schaunel to the Angels. Sox will have at least one of Taylor, Teel, Shaw there to pick from.

Sounds like Noble Meyer to Miami, draft falling pretty good for the Sox.

There is a really nice group of College Bats sitting right there. Shaw, Gonzalez, Taylor, Troy, and Teel. Guaranteed one to be there, will be interesting to see how the next few picks fall.

Longenhagen is saying Blake Mitchell at 8 and possibly Dollander at 9.

Sounds like Jacob Wilson at #6. That opens up a few potential scenarios for the Red Sox, esp. as Brayden Taylor was heavily linked

The more I watch and hear about Tai Peete the more I am warming up to him as an underslot sign at 14. That kid has huge potential and seems to be linked to every team from 20 - 40 so no way he makes it to our pick at 50. If they can grab him at #14 and another 2.5 -3 million dollar player at #50 I'd be on board.

Jacob Wilson going #6 would open up some other possibilities for the Red Sox at #14. Brayden Taylor has been linked a lot with them.

I think going about a 1.0 - 1.2 under slot is the best way to approach the draft, unless something crazy happens. If you combine the slot value for the first three picks, the total comes out to $7,207,900 (without even factoring in 5% overage). If they go about a million underslot at #14, they could go
#14 - 3.1 Million Value #50 - 3.1 Million Value #83 - 1.0 Million Value
They can potentially get two players with a value of around pick 24 with their first two picks instead of a 4.8 million dollar player.

At this point given the significant holes on the roster and what is left on the market, I don't see how the Red Sox upgrade their team with out at least one significant trade. Position players, especially outfielders and power bats is extremely, extremely thin. Same goes for pitching market. Even if they were to bring back Xander and Eovaldi, they have holes to fill and the market is extremely thin especially when they are looking to contend. I think you're correct, there needs to be a significant trade. Exactly besides the SS and the Japanese players, which will be a feeding frenzy, there just isn’t anything out there that can significantly improve this team. There has to be some pretty big trades in the pipeline otherwise it’s bleak.

Very impressed with this interview. He comes off as a very intelligent, well-spoken kid. Seems to have a great head on his shoulders and built tremendous relationships with the Red Sox scouts pre-draft.

We're 14 rounds in and we've taken only one collegiate position player. So much for looking at College outfielders 😂🤣😂 Can never hurt taking High School or College Shortstops. If they can't stick they usually have the athleticism to move anywhere else.
