I don't know much about Driveline, but could this be an avenue to try and improve his defensive projection/profile? Maybe it helps him to analyze his movement skills and apply to the field?
Do they do any analysis on injuries and injury prevention?

Confidence was the best thing Yorke could get from the AFL. Good to see so far.

Raffy sucked ass tonight. Kinda sucked for a decent stretch now. End of last year he had begun to put together great at-bats. Seems his discipline has regressed, and when slumps happen he just lacks impact offensively. Hope he can find that balance of selective aggression again.

Call-up tomorrow: - Wong - Kelly - Maybe German - Maybe Casas
Bench/Cut: - Plawecki - Familia - Sawamura - Brasier
No other moves really make sense IMO. If guys are hurt sit them down and let them fully recover. Otherwise, you bring Story back into the fold and hope he mashes to end the year on a high. The rest of the guys, you keep playing and hope some stuff clicks for them heading to the offseason.

I know it's injury related, but not exactly a recipe for Bello's success today with that defensive lineup. Lots of GB hits incoming...

Still looking at around a 5 WAR year while battling injuries and putting up his best defensive season maybe ever. I still think a pretty strong market will exist. Hope Boston is the one with him in the end.

Ian and Chris have talked about Crawford on the podcast a few times, and if I remember correctly they think higher of him than before this stretch. The long-term projection is probably still high-end long reliever/spot starter, but Eno's model is definitely a more analytical look and offers new data points to suggest he could be a long-term starter.
Definitely a nice surprise in this odd season.

Matches the eye test of the last couple months. Barely hitting the ball in the air. Wonder if there's a larger injury here. Does contrast with his defense being passable to good though...

Meh. Some competency and a 130 WRC+ against LHP to help ease Casas in isn't awful. If SD is eating most/all of the deal idk how you can really have a strong reaction either way here.

Feel like we have waited a while for him to finally pitch for the org, but Perales' results are backing up that helium Badler and others had attached to him when he signed.

Not sure where to put this, but was thinking about my August/MiLB season end wishlist for the system. There's a lot, but wanted to steer a bit clear of "Everyone dominates". Curious what others would put here.
- Yorke to be healthy and put a shine on this turd of a season - Trio of newly drafted HS kids to get into a few games and show some promise - Mata/Ward to continue to be healthy with an eye toward next year - Mayer/Bleis promotions?

Definitely think he's been unlucky based on contact, but his BB/9 is 2x from AAA and his K/9 is halved. So he's not giving himself much margin for error to be lucky.
The AL East has been a nightmare for our staff, so hopefully he gets a start or two against some new blood. Still feel good about this kid in the long run as a starter.

At the very least, make it look like you belong on the field with them. Gausman's tough but last night was non-competitive after 2 innings.

In the 6/1 gameday thread there's been a good conversation regarding Mayer's K% and whiff%. I was wondering if there is any correlation between when he was diagnosed with a wrist injury and those numbers potentially going up?
It seems logical to me, but not sure where exactly to look that up.

Would be a feat to have the bats wake up against Wright. At least we have the god Garrett going tonight.

Story's first dinger comes today. Shaw maybe makes some contact. 2-1 victory.

Devers, Bogaerts, Story are turning in some pretty dreadful BB rates (Devers is at 2%). If those three can bring a more refined approach it would go a long way.
The thing for Devers is that he's at only a 16% K rate so in general he could stand to be more selective and get deeper into counts.

Early in the year but 3rd worst BB% in the league for our lineup. Terrible approach and it bails out bad pitchers.
Here's to hoping it's early season anxiousness.

Bundy's stuff is blah, but the Red Sox approach has been terrible. Allergic to working counts today.
