Getting back to Owens... Keith Law's top 100 came out today and in his write up on Owens he seemed to believe, more so than others, that Owens can truly be a No. 2 starter. Is Law more bullish on Owens than the industry or is that just my perception?

This team is special to me and to everyone. They were a bright spot during some tough times and their relentlessness was contagious. I thank them for making this last 7 months pure joy. Go Sox! Boston Strong!

Lackey may need to do what he did in Detroit and work off his breaking ball

Well all season we saw that this team likes to strike out, but these playoffs its become an epidemic. Even guys with high contact rates like Ells and Pedey have been K'ing quite frequently.

I wish they left Lackey in in all honesty. He was only at like 93 pitches and despite those two hits was looking sharp

Last inning is why Drew is still in the lineup. Great defense. Meanwhile, Wacha has made Xander look less than legendary in both ABs tonight.

Second look at Sanchez tonight. I have a good feeling about it. Gut call. Pedroia and Ortiz step up and lead the way on offense tonight.

Its the end of the world! Everyone sucks! Tough start but got a lot of game left and if we lose the Tigers have to take 2/3 from Lester, Buccholz, and Lackey. They haven't proven that to be easy for them....

This series has been a true test of the team's mental makeup. Being dominated in three games in a row by the starters for the other team and to still be up 2-1?!? Unreal. This team's propensity to strikeout has manifested itself big time however. Gotta put more balls in play.

You guys think that Koji will win the AL reliever of the year award? It's tough to come up with someone whose been better, although I guess Mo might get the farewell votes...

Xander did miss a couple of pitches he could do damage with though. Still, that last call was horrible

Barnes getting promoted to AAA. I'm a little bit surprised but for the most part I like his K/9 and I believe that he will become a good part of our rotation or a valuable trade chip. I played against Barnes in high school and played for the same AAU program as him, and that may bias me. I have seen him first hand and his fastball was one of two that I thought was unhittable. The other was that of Devin Burke who flamed out a bit at Duke, but I wish the best for Barnes and I root extra hard for him to make it with the Sox.
