He stands at the exact same height as pedro martinez saw a picture of them two together. "Ito has three letters, God has three letters. Coincidence? I think not." - reference nobody will get. Those who think he is 6'0 -6'1 are wrong. Pedro was 5'11 at the most right?

Enough with this protected draft pick! Signing Price and cueto wont cost you the pick, they will determine wether its worth it to lose the pick depending on the free agent. If they lose the protected pick it will be because the young key players are playing like winners this is a good thing.

If you consider that Chapman would also net a draft pick, it doesn't seem that far off to me. Depends on if you view Margot as a top 25 guy or more of a 50-60 type. Eh, I'm not sure about that. He'll be paid at least $12m next year, and (generously) projects to something like 2.5 wins. That's only something like $6m in surplus value, which means even if you add a draft pick in his favor and assume Margot is more a #50-75 guy, it's not a trade you really want to make. That's not even to mention Miley, who on his own might be nearly as valuable as Chapman (at least surplus value-wise) next year. There is no salary cap why does it matter?

Why dont they call him up to Double A what is the worst that can happen? He is just logging innings in games that dont mean anything anyway. Really? Two weeks in single A and you want him to skip high and go to AA for the final week of the season? Jeez, let him mash. Let the league make adjustments and see how he reacts (although probably not enough time for that this year). If he's ready, the Sox will have him start in AA next spring. Maybe he starts in high A and gets the bump to AA after a month or so. Not saying the Sox approach is always right, but they have set out a course. They're not going to bump him from Low A to AA (do not stop at High A) after 2 weeks. Yes. Like peter gammons said " Espinoza might be the red sox answer for Jose Fernandez". And he went from High A to MLB and pitched 2 seasons in the minors.

He was 5-10 when signed per the Soxprospect release, and I've seen him called 6 - 6'1. Seeing as he is only 17 that could continue to climb. He should be full grown by now. He is not going to stretch out to be 6'3 -6'4 so dont get your hopes up.

He should have stayed on the bag he was out of control. Mookie still makes mistakes running the bases sometimes. Shaws error costed them as well. And That home run was just a foot away from being foul. The red sox batters also bailed out pineda early they should have taken more pitches, the guy felt comfortable getting behind in counts it seemed.

My bad, misread. I think Gray and Miller are overrated though. I'd rather try to trade for a Carrasco or a Salazar or a Quintana Only way I see betts in gone in gray or degrom. Can't see either happening. Also DD comment to day about Bucholtz may spell the end for Miley or Porcello. What did he say?

Listening to radio and those guys at 98.5 are accusing JBJ of Juicing. They are too scared of saying the word but saying everything except that.

DD is Probably going to package a top prospect here and there with hanley or sandoval and most likely porcello since he is obviously not a fan so they might not even get a good return for some of them.

Best Red Sox pitching prospect since the Rocket. No question at this point. No. Clay Buchholz was a better prospect. Nowadays people sort of take him for granted, but Clay was just a ridiculous prospect back in the day. Ya he jumped to the majors from portland and had that over the top delivery his curve and change were great in that no hitter

Some trades have been suspect. Farm system has yielded some dividends and a core group of hitters developing in A ball. We can talk about Pitching development, Owens, Erod, Johnson, Kopech are a good start.. What Cherington needs to do is go back to the old days which the game has reverted to the last few years post steroid, Pitching and defense first! I think with LL out of the way, Cherington will flourish. Betts, Vazquez, Bogaerts, Swihart, maybe Bradley... don't you think you're short-selling the system a little? All these guys have less than two years of experience - those 1,000 at bats someone mentioned, yet there appears to be some outstanding talent in there. The lack of insight into guys who are all 24 years old or less often has me shaking my head. Ben cherington is not responsible for bringing in Betts, Vasquez, Bogaerts, Swihart, Bradley, Owens. Just Erod, Kopech and Johnson.
