I have so many questions. Why did Barnes only face one batter? Why is Kimbrel facing so many LHHs with Price warmed up?

At least Nunez would field it before butching it lol This is getting ridiculous

Are we seriously gonna let Nuñez cost us another game?

It's actually a pitcher friendly park, believe it or not. Not since they got rid of the center field hill and cut out about a football field's worth of space out of the outfield. (slight exaggeration) The dimensions are smaller than Fenway and they have a much shorter wall and no deep right field. Didn't they change it before last season? It was still very pitcher friendly in 2017 and slightly below average in 2018.

This park makes Fenway look as pitcher friendly as Oakland's park. That ball that Pearce hit was only 322 feet and it wasn't particularly close to the foul pole. It's actually a pitcher friendly park, believe it or not.

This season is already a huge win in my book. Anything more is just a plus!

How fucking anticlimactic is this now. Yeah the replay kills the momentum a little. You know what would be really anticlimatic? A bad call in that situation. Replay is great.

What a weird ending. We won but I’m now exactly in a celebratory mood yet. It's called relief.

I don't care if he strikes out the next 50 batters he faces and we win the WS, please dont re-sign Kimbrel.

The Sox 8th: JBJ hitting .186 couldn't get a bunt down which would have given RS 2-3 with 1 out. Holt ends it with a miserable ab and a weak flyout. RS were given a lot with all those early SM errors. They needed to execute better late and counldn't. I have seen this movie so many times, they ask JBJ to bunt, he never manages to get it down and all it does is make a hitter that struggles with 2 strikes to give free ones. Just let he swing the damn bat.

Oh boy, 0-2 and you hit one of the fastest runners in the league. Top of the order for a 3rd time too with nobody out. I'm clenching.

Nunez makes me so angry that I almost want to boycott the games he starts. The problem is, Cora loves him so much that I wouldn't be able to watch a single game.

On the one hand, this is a shocker, on the other, it shows how some stats can be deceptive: Gary Marbry @nuggetpalooza 15h15 hours ago Ever wanted to see how often teams score when certain players lead off innings? Here are the players where their team has scored most often when they lead off the inning. Raise your hand if you expected to see Christian Vazquez 2nd! #RedSox This has much more to do with Mookie than Vazquez. Meaningless stat.

There's not much to complain about Cora, but his obsession with Nunez is getting ridiculous.

I'll just point out that the San Francisco Giants are above .500 and 2.5 games out of first place while getting -0.6 WAR from the center field position. Castillo, who is something like a 1.5 WAR player is worth more than $11 million to them even before you factor in that a marginal win would be worth more to them than it would be to most teams. The Red Sox probably trade him for a lottery ticket, so the Giants are stubborn, cheap, dumb, or some combination of the three. The Giants are only 2M below the luxury tax right now. Very unlikely that they would be willing to go well over it for a gamble like Rusney.

Since Sale is ineffective throwing the ball outside the strike zone could someone suggest to him that he try throwing the ball in the strike zone ? You just saw why, he's too HR prone since the juiced ball came along.

They are already the best team in the league, tought to beat them if they're also the luckiest.

That's half of Vazquez's fault people. Guy just stood there and gave no instructions. True but you don't slow up because you don't see anyone. I thought the same thing Remy just said, he got faked by the catcher.

Im a bit scared that Cora is trying to not hurt his buddies feelings (Nunez and Hanley). It makes so much sense to sit Hanley given his contract situation.

JBJ was put in the doghouse but Nunez can play below replacement level for as long as he wants? Holt deserves more starts.
