You still in Brazil, Don? What time is it there? And how's the reception? Still here! It's 6 PM and I'm following it through gameday because my internet connection is especially ungodly awful today plus the TV channel that airs baseball here isn't showing the game (kind of). What anguishes me most is that I need to do a work related stuff in about 20 minutes and I'm not sure when I'll be back, goddamn it stupid life. This ESPN extra bullshit is so annoying, I also cant watch it even though I have ESPN.

Is this a replay off last year?

The Astros are ridiculously talented, but so are we. This should be some sweet awesome baseball. Kind of opposite effects this year in how their offense almost over performed across the board and we underperformed across the board. Our baserunning and defense is crazy though. We have a similar archetype to the Royals WS teams. Its harder to win the Royals way with the juiced ball. I cant help but think we would be a much better team with the old ball, for some reason it has not added that much power for our hitters as it has for the rest of the league.

How do you possibly let Leon hit in this situation He's a lefty. Farrell would let my grandmother hit in that situation as long as it was a lefty-righty matchup. Which is ridiculous, since Devenski is better versus lefties thanks to one of the best changeups in the game.

How do you possibly let Leon hit in this situation You cant PH for your catcher when you only have 3 of them. Gotta have at least 15 dont you know?

I think Leon's spot as a backup is pretty safe as long as Sale is around, at least in the near future.

Since that 2 homer 5 rbi game in early august, he's batting .107/.265/.143 (34 plate appearances vs mostly lefties) and btw, that 2 hr game? both home runs came off a righty (Mike Pelfrey), then Farrell benched him for the next 4 days and his next start was against a lefty. Lets not act like he's a righties masher though, honestly what he does against them doesnt even matter as he should never start against any RHP anyway. What matter is that he's not doing his one job, which is to hit LHPs, so he shouldnt get any playing time at all.

Why is that? They might not like him enough to get rid of Boyer, Abad etc. That doesnt mean they wont add him as soon as we get open spots from Chris Young, Nunez and Moreland becoming FAs. They have 6 guys on the 60-day, 5 of which are locks to be added back. Plus they have more to add to protect for Rule 5. If they don't like him now, they aren't going to like him with no idea what he can do in the majors when he doesn't have an option left. They have 8 pending FAs, so they'll have a place for him. They might DFA him later in the offseason but he should be added.

Not necessarily. They can add him to the 40 man roster in the off-season before he becomes a free agent. If they aren't adding him now, I really doubt they're adding him later. Why is that? They might not like him enough to get rid of Boyer, Abad etc. That doesnt mean they wont add him as soon as we get open spots from Chris Young, Nunez and Moreland becoming FAs.

About Nunez cold streak, he had a lot of bad luck during it. I've lost count how many times the camera showed him pissed off after lining out right at someone in the last week alone.

Thats a huge confidence booster for Reed as well, what happened last sunday was pretty bad, and you could tell he was mad.

Looks like Kimbrel is ready to come in if necessary, which is all we can really ask for. Now, if Reed goes 1-2-3, thats even better.
