I’ll of course echo what everyone says about Brock as a person and what he meant to Red Sox Nation. Us in the Section 10 community are devastated. Losing Brock and Mookie could crush our collective team OBP for 2020.

Wow..if they go through with Sale here, pretty aggressive move. Sale will love it though. Pretty sure it was an interview on section 10 (maybe something else) he basically said starting is cool but loved the idea of closing or relief in a tight game.

If Yankees lose day game tomorrow and Sox win the division in unceremonious fashion, It will be interesting to see if Sox go max rest mode like last year against Yankees in that second to last series.

The Carson Smith experience.....featuring Josh Donaldson arguing a pitch that's clearly a strike

Great win! Die hard Red Sox fan from western NY and I'll be at the game tomorrow. Not the best circumstances going into a game....Porcello looked rough last start (hopefully he turns it around). If I were Farrell, Reed and Kimbrel aren't available for tomorrow, rest them for late Sep/Oct. Hopefully Kelly, Hembree, Scott, or Workman all step up if it's a close game tomorrow.

Thought: Eduardo Nunez is not that good of a hitter and shouldn't be hitting leadoff. jmei was wrong (tonight). Lol. I agree on some levels. He's ultra aggressive at the plate and swings outside the zone a lot. If he had a patience even on Mookie's level, I believe he's a top player in the league. I've never understood players who swing outside the zone with such regularity i.e. Sandoval, Nunez. It's just the Red Sox way to be patient.

Okay so I guess it's understandable if Reed wasn't available that he went to Barnes. For the initial protagonists, Barnes just seems to fail in these big spots over and over. He was used in many high leverage spots last year as well and we saw similar failure. One thing i haven't seen posted by anyone is the drop in velocity. I remember him hitting 97-99 with ease last year. I will admit i haven't looked at Brooks Baseball too closely on him to study more. Farrell needs to stop with his obsession with Barnes. I will say, Farrell isn't dumb (I think...)a healthy Carson Smith will supersede Barnes in high leverage and make potential post-season decision making easier.

More questionable calls by Farrell. Were Reed and Workman not available for this game? It will be interesting to hear his line of thinking after. Hopefully this is the end of the line for Hembree and Barnes in high leverage spots. As im typing this BIG K there Scott!

Sandy working deep counts getting big hits again. Dodging tags at home plate to end games. Deathstar mode activated once again (;
