My man Dubon with an 865 OPS as a 22 year-old shortstop in AA. Great middle infield prospect? Or best middle infield prospect in Red Sox history? I think Dubon should replace Pedroia in two or three years.

I do not think JF is a good manger, but I absolutely do not see the sense in firing him at this point in the season. This team still has a wild card spot and is only 1 1/2 games back in the division. Does anyone actually believe a managerial change 3/4 into the season will make that much of a difference towards our post season chances? I do. Because JF is really killing this team.

Yeah, honestly I can see the Red Sox signing only one universally ranked player (MLB/BA/PG) after round 10. That means only one of Quintana, Fitzgerald, Jones, Belge, or Bergner. And even then I'm ok with it. At least assuming they sign rounds 1-10, which I believe they will. I think that they drafted Quintana in the 11th round is meaningful. There will always be some universally ranked guy who signs for less than expected (guys like Brakeman, Trent Kemp, etc.), and the fact that he was the first pick we made after having time to talk to agents is meaningful. I think he signs regardless of the Groome situation. I do agree with you though that the entire quintet of Fitzgerald, Shepherd, Belge, Bergner and Jones are unlikely to sign unless something with Groome falls through and we have extra money. If we can even get one of those guys to sign I'll consider a huge success. I'm interested in the HS guys drafted in earlier rounds without the BA pedigree....Michael Wilson, Beau Capanna, and Juan Carlos Abreu. I have no idea about those guys and love the recent success we've had with other former HS guys lacking huge pedigrees (Ockimey and Dubon). Totally agreed with you. I think Quintana is the only guy who we could sign assuming we signed Groome. Quintana may have huge value behind the plate.

How is any of this JF's fault? I mean, I don't like him either. But this is ridiculous. Stop use Hanigan as Wright's personal catcher.

Trammell isn't BPA at all. Do you understand the pithcing is the strength of the draft as well as the organizational need? I never said they should draft Trammell, I was Just responding to your "no way to draft another CF" argument flaws. Trammell is not BPA. We have 3 young CFs who are JBJ, Betts, and Bennyball even after trading away Margot. Now what is the logic to use # 12 pick to draft very raw pure CF who is not BPA? Oh?

No way to draft another CF. Also he is too raw. You sound like Harold Reynolds, his shock when The Rockies drafted Rodgers, since "they have Tulo" was hilarious last year . Just draft BPA, whatever The position is. Trammell isn't BPA at all. Do you understand the pithcing is the strength of the draft as well as the organizational need?

Double to center, double to left, single to right. Ockimey is becoming a spray hitter.

Miles Head came from Georgia. When drafted he was advertised as a very polished HS bat without great upside. Sometimes he overswung because his raw power was just above average. Josh Ockimey came from Phil and was never thought as polished while he has plus-plus power. He already has improved the strike zone judgement. I still think Ockimey is raw. There is a balance issue. But I can't ignore his huge ceiling.
