I am not a big Dubon fan but it should be notable that his K% is only 6.5%. Slightly higher than Bennyball (5.9%)

New BB king is not Moncada but Ockimey. He drew 3 walks tonight.

Nice to see Dubon hitting for power.

Buried behind a 25 year old Marrero who cannot hit his weight. I ask Sox Prospects, where is the Longhi love? If he drives the balls more often he would be ranked higher. Now his GB% is 56.4%.

Collins' power isn't as good as Schwarber's.

I don't want to watch Owens in the big league until he improves fastball command.

Another player that should be promoted right now is Bobby Poyner. Too advanced.

How much faster do people want to see Benintendi promoted? He's going to be in Portland within a year of being drafted at this rate. Is that not a rapid ascent? Benintendi is the most polished bat after Pedroia was drafted. Pedey started the season in Portland and was promoted to Pawtucket soon. He said minorleague balls had been too easy for him until he played AAA. Benintendi should go to Pawtucket as soon as possible.

Maybe they'll move Benintendi to Greenville after the game just to screw with him even more. Maybe it is time to talk about when the farm director will be fired.

Marco continues to hit well for Pawtucket. I really love his swing. Smooth, quick, and compact. He also has some pop. If he improves approach at the plate, he should be an everyday player.

I think Jordan Sheffield is a possibility. He might have the best stuff this draft and also pitched well in high competition. But small size (5-11) and TJS history could be an issue.

Kyle Martin's mystery continues. He can strike out and didn't allow walks. (K% 29.4) But he allowed 17 hits in 11.2 ip. Only two among them are XBH. Babip is 0.500.

According to various reports I have read he has real power but hasn't developed the lift in his swing yet. His raw power may be 55 or better but not 70. Little lift in his swing is a serious problem. Lars Anderson and Garin Cecchini also had some pop but failed to learn how to lift the ball in the end.

Sam Travis is only bat player.
5.6 BB% 25.8 K% 48.3 GB%
His approach needs lots of works. He can't drive the ball enough. Hard to believe why he is highly regarded.

When the Red Sox decision makers finally end this month-long nightmare and moves Nintendo Man to Portland, I won't even treat it as a "promotion". It will be more like a "correction" as he should have started the year in AA. Totally agreed. He should have started in AA. He may need some seasoning in minor league but AAA is the best place to learn.

I would pick Benintendi over Moncada and Devers. Hernandez over (Sam) Travis Ockimey over Longhi.
