He should stay in Salem until pitchers stop pitching to him. I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet. Because hitters behind Chavis are Ockimey and Kemp.

Michael Chavis is too good to stay in Salem.

Tsu Wei Lin - human hit machine. Interesting progression to watch. Sure he's repeating a level but love to see the success. So hard to play at AA and above, if he keeps this up he will earn himself a jump up to the taxi squad in AAA. He had hit tons of groundballs but he becomes totally different hitter this season. He is really driving the balls.

I definitely thought he'd open in Lowell, this is a surprise. I agreed with you. I think this is good sign. The front definitely likes his stuff and he may be more polished than we thought. For reference, Xander was promoted to Greenville during the season.

Raudes' stuff is fringy and so hittable. Unless he improves his stuff a lot his future is not bright. His command and pitchability are already good. Not much room to improve.

jimed14, is D-backs a better team than Red sox? You are arguing that a manager's influence is small. But D-bakcs under Lovullo' management is performing much better than Red sox under JK's

Under Lovullo's management this team was pretty fun to watch even without Sale, Kimbrel, and Price.

He cut down K% from 35.2% to 19%.

Salem's 3-4-5 is killing opponent's pitching.

Trenton Kemp is an amazing athlete. He was very raw when drafted. Last season his K% was 35.2%, which is pretty much expected. He looks to improve his plate discipline. He is definitely intriguing prospect.

Hembree pitches well against RHH although he struggles against LHH.

Rafael Devers 3/4/6

Daniel Bard's slider was unhittable at the highest level not because it was plus-plus pitch but because hitters focused on his high 90s fastball. Assuming Buttrey's fastball is high 90s, his above-average changeup should look like a wipeout pitch in games.

Chavis made 2 errors. Maybe he needs to be moved off 3b.

Hard to believe why he is so overrated by some posters.
Whatis his positional value? 1B or LF How about his baserunning? Below average Can he drive the ball often? Not at all. His GB% is too high. Can he get on base? No. His BB% is 5.5%.
Ok. He is young. He plays in AA. Hopefully he could be something. Who knows? But for now he isn't a legit prospect.
Devers and Groome are elite prospects. Chavis and Ockimey are showing great power. Also we have lots of intriguing arms though their ceiling isn't high. I am sure their values are higher than Longhi's.

. Agree love those 3 really on their games and veils a tick up but good control I don't think any of them have the combination of control plus stuff to be loved. That being said they are having good years finally. Of the three Beeks I like best because he's lefthanded with the best track record. I know it's small sample but you can't ignore their high K% and low BB% in Portland. Especially, Callahan has 42.6% K-rate and zero walk in 13 innings. Also he pitched well in Arizona Fall league and spring training.

I love three bullpen arms such as Jalen Beeks, Jamie Callahan, and Ty Buttrey. All of them performs well in Portland and scouting reports say that they have stuff to succeed in big league as a bullpen.

Jamie Callahan throws not changeup but split-fingered fastball at 85-87 mph.
